Just saying thanks
So my buddy invited me to this group last week. I was hesitant because I don't really join groups it usually devolves into something that the group is not even close to what it's supposed to be, so that's not my thing. That being said it's only been a week and reading through posts here there is SO much information it's almost overwhelming it's awesome. I asked one question about a motor mounts almost instantly the guys at ICT wanted to help/giving me actual solutions and then I had a fellow member Brian Newbert reach out to me and actually help me and provide an actual solution. Thanks Brian👍 just want to say this group is refreshing if this is not allowed I apologize but I feel like it has to be said.

I appreciate the shout out @Ryan Douglas and thanks again @Ict Billet for recognizing we needed a group like this and did something about it!
2007ish - 2012ish CTS passenger side motor mount bracket
So I've been throwing around the idea of putting my ls in a 2007-2012 Cadillac CTS. I figured the V came with a 5.7 or 6.2 I believe so it could be fairly straightforward. After rabbit holing I determined it's definitely doable. My question is the passenger side motor mount bracket. It's discontinued, I'm in Canada I've tried to find one used no bueno obviously none new. I have read that there are adapter sets that you can buy and ICT was mentioned but I have been able to find nothing. Asking the hive for ideas/solutions. I know I shouldn't let a bracket stop me but I tend to overthink things lol. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

@Ryan Douglas shoot me a direct message. I'm waiting for a response back. Let me know if you score a car.
What do you guys think?
Looking over my 6.0l more this evening. I found some things I wanted to get some opinions on. The plan for this motor is a cam and upgraded valve train. Nothing crazy. This trucks going to be a weekend cruiser. Found some scoring on a cylinder, and some odd bearing surface. Take a look and let me know what you guys think. Slap it back together or dive deeper and replace parts?

The scary part about a score in the cylinder is how it got there. The bearing I can see a little trash going through the oil. I had this happen on my LS3 Camaro where the oil ring came out. Might be worth at least popping the Piston out and seeing what's up. By all means I'm a budget guy and say slam it together, but I would at least pull that piston and look. It cost me a last three block. Good luck man!

I may have read that wrong if you're referencing the staining. That's probably just from sitting not being rotated over for a while. I wouldn't sweat that necessarily.
93-97 4th gen Firebird/ Camaro LS swap Steering Shaft Trouble!
I just wrapped up a 97 early 4th gen LS swap using the hooker header conversion motor mounts. I'm still using the factory V6 rack and pinion. The rag joint was in the way of the exhaust I temporarily sleeved it and removed it but I'm looking for a permanent solution. Does anybody know if a '98 to 02 steering shaft will work with the early rack and pinion. I see there are manufacturers offering steering shafts that claim 93-02 but they say you must use a LS rack. Appreciate any input!

@Calvin Lehman that would be awesome. I get the basic concept. The problem is nobody gives you the information for the rack and pinion side. I mean worst case I can definitely pull the steering shaft off the car and count splines and what not. But yeah, there isn't a whole lot of information on these early rack and pinions. I appreciate it!
