OOTD - Wednesday 3 May
It’s getting colder, a top of 9C (48F) today and only 7C (44F) on the way to take my daughter to school. We left early so we could grab a coffee to warm ourselves up. I love this Tie from OTAA, the colour is so bold and amazing. I really dont think the pictures show it enough. Grabbed the lighter Grey Coat today to match with the lighter Blue suit. I am quite happy with how this ensemble came together. Todays outfit consists of: Country Road Double Breasted Herringbone 100% Fine Wool Overcoat in Graphite M.J. Bale Ballard Suit in True Blue made from a Super 110’s Merino wool cloth Charles Tyrwhitt Non-Iron Royal Oxford Windowpane Check Shirt in Steel Blue OTAA Bondi Navy Blue Pinstripe OTAA Shining Silver Tie Clip OTAA White Pocket Square with Sky Blue Edge OTAA Jack O’ Cups Shattuckite Skull Bracelet Monterey Black Bead Bracelet OTAA Happy Penguin Socks Ecco Vitrus Penny Loafer Brixton Brood Cap * panel design in Washed Navy and Aluminium SOTD - Mancera Red Tobacco WOTD Islander Greenport

6 years in the making: Graduating Law School
Today ended a chapter of my life i started 6 years ago when I signed up to take the LSAT. (It ended up bring the first ever LSAT to be administered remotely due to COVID restrictions). Yesterday I was hooded by one of my favorite professors and today I officially graduated with a Juris Doctorate from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law. While it may not have been fully proper, I left the top few inches of my regalia open showing my tie. The burgundy Oscar de la Renta tie belonged to my father who passed away from lung cancer in Oct 2016. Wearing it through graduation I felt honored his memory and that he would have been proud. I am thus far the first member of my immediate family with a bachelor's degree, and now the first with a professional degree. I was thankful to have the support of my loving wife, two daughters and In-laws throughout this journey who have been motivation and inspiration for one of the longest-path goals of my life. In 87 days, I will take the Texas Bar exam and start the next phase of my life.

Congrats!
WINNER for the "Turning Point" Challenge 🥁🥁🥁
Gents - this challenge was a blast! We had so many transformation and turning-point stories shared, and every single one was inspiring in its own way. Seeing you guys show up, reflect, and take action is exactly what this community is about. Now… for the winner 🥁🥁🥁 🏆 WINNER: @Sean Kavanaugh Sean’s turning point started with years of feeling limited by his size — wearing looser clothes to hide, tailoring only for length, and cycling through “progress… then back to old habits.” Then life changed the trajectory. He stepped into a new chapter, started carrying himself differently, and eventually hit the real wake-up call: About 18 months ago, he woke up with his knees hurting and decided, “Enough is enough.” He committed to keto and consistent workouts — and that kickstarted not just weight loss, but a complete style evolution. What changed for Sean: - He’s down 75 pounds, with another 15–20 to go - Fit became the priority — not “whatever works,” but “what actually looks sharp” - He rebuilt his wardrobe intelligently (thrift + resale + tailoring) as his body changed - He leveled up so much that in December he bought an off-the-rack suit that only needed a hem — not a full reconstruction And the best part? He didn’t keep it to himself. He posts consistently, tracks his progress, and credits the community for helping him feel more confident in who he is — and where he’s going. @Sean Kavanaugh — we're proud of you! Everyone else: keep those stories coming in the community feed. This is how we build momentum — one decision, one upgrade, one win at a time!

Congrats and well deserved!!
IWC Pilot Watches
Gents I need some advice. I'm torn between two pilot watches and I need some help deciding. I really like the Big Pilot 43 (the one below on the right with the strap). The problem is that it comes in at 43mm and I have fairly small wrists. I also would get it on a bracelet, not the strap as pictured. So my option is to then get the Mark XX (below on the left). I'm not crazy about the date window and I really like the oversized crown on the 43. My question is how do you feel about a slightly oversized watch?

I think it comes down to personal preference. I personally don't like the look of an oversized watch. To me it's akin to wearing an oversized shirt for example...it just doesn't fit right.

@Ian Paron I do love the green dial. You should go to ebay and do a search for green dial watches between around 37 to 40 and see what you find!
First Suit
My son got his first suit (went to his first wedding as well. He was bored but loved the desserts 😄.) I have to say - he cleans up nicely!
