Lost my Scheduled Reel and Hate It!
📱 Help Needed: Short Video Scheduling Tools Hey Podcasters! I'm diving into repurposing podcast clips (like this one about the most important skill in the AI era 👇) into short-form content, and I could use your expertise! Current Challenge: - Need to post consistently across TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram - Looking for efficient scheduling solutions (manual posting is killing my productivity!) - Want to maintain platform-specific optimization I've heard mixed reviews about: - Buffer - Later - Make.com automations - Native platform schedulers (I have lost my scheduled video on LinkedIn today 🤕) 🤔 What's your go-to stack for multi-platform short video scheduling? Specifically curious about: 1. Which tools actually deliver reliable scheduling? 2. How do you handle different aspect ratios efficiently? 3. Anyone cracked the code for bulk scheduling across platforms?

Unfortunately, I’m not using any tools yet but I plan to focus on this in March. I haven’t edited nor posted any shorts. I’ve just focused on getting the content created and posted.
I started my podcast, now what?
Personally, I consume podcasts on Spotify while driving. I wrote my first 5 scripts with Spotify in mind, but now I'm shifting to have a Youtube-focused podcast. What does that mean, really? I was given some great advice from @Matthew Thompson this week that will help create a hyper focus on the brand that I'm trying to build. I want to help software startups by building an incredible customer support. First, start with the title of the episode. What do I want my podcast to be about in 6 words? Once I have the title, write the episode around the title. Second, I wasn't giving much thought into my thumbnails. Matthew mentioned to make the title build on the text in the thumbnail. I was clogging my thumbnail with my logo and all of the points I'm covering. The font was too small and not capturing my attention. Third, I will start to consider addressing more of the problem I see with customer support in SaaS startups in a more basic manner. I tend to go a little to broad with content. In this current episode, it's 14 minutes of dense information. I could have broken it out into 3 podcasts that went a little deeper, and not so broad. I just wanted to share my experiences as I've only been working on my podcast since the start of January. https://www.youtube.com/@RushtoResolution

@Joseph Isosaki Thanks for this feedback! Matthew mentioned the same thing - the introductory hook should encapsulate the podcast title and text in the thumb to ground people in what they're watching.
Marketing Dummy 101: How to promote the podcast?
Hey fellow podcasters! 👋 I've just launched my podcast "AI Ketchup" (hello, my baby-with-the-first-steps website) with the first 3 episodes available on Spotify, several RSS feeds, and YouTube. So what's next is to shooooot and promote the episodes (after I have my first 4), but... how? Since I run an AI podcast, I asked AI for advice! Here's what Perplexity suggested, along with my thoughts on each (the link to the conversation): 1️⃣ Guest Network Leverage: Send guests easy-to-share links and social posts (lowerstreet.co) - Elina's take: Just finished battling with code to create a Share button on my website (Android users, does "Share Episode" work for you? 🙏). Now I can share both website and Spotify links with guests - happy to distribute the code (Typescript/React) if anyone needs it! 2️⃣ Social Focus: Pick 1-2 platforms where your audience lives, customize content for each (castos.com) - Elina's take: LinkedIn is definitely my main platform, and Instagram for Shorts seems promising (TikTok, not so much anymore?). Still unsure about X/Twitter - anyone having success there? 3️⃣ Cross-Promote: Partner with similar podcasts, be a guest on others (buffer.com) - Elina's take: Happy to chat with any of you if my insights from consulting 40+ companies on their Cloud & AI strategies could be helpful! Here's an example: [Short on earning money with AI] 4️⃣ Email Marketing: Send dedicated episode emails with clear calls-to-action (castos.com) - Elina's take: Considering adding an email signup to my website - what would motivate you to subscribe? Just episode notifications, or should I offer some kind of freebie? 5️⃣ Content Repurposing: Turn transcripts into blog posts (cuepodcasts.com)

Great Job with this, @Elina Lesyk ! I like the background music - AI generated, I suppose? I just grabbed my guitar and recorded some strumming for my music. One take, hardly any edits, and I needed something now. haha I've launched my 3rd podcast - https://rushtoresolution.com/ai-ecosystem/ While I've also recorded 4th and 5th to edit next week. I intend on grabbing snippets from the 4th 5th podcasts to use for shorts, hosting on YouTube and Spotify while also posting those shorts on LinkedIn. My main focus is on LinkedIn. This month, I've been learning the structure of marketing on LinkedIn, but not taking any courses. Just reviewing other people that have a lot of subscribers. I setup LinkedIn Business, X and Bluesky, but I have not built a following on X nor Bluesky. I figured I would start with laying a foundation of content and then focus on one platform at a time - LinkedIn has my focus right now. Someone mentioned, "You should have an Instagram..." I can only focus on so many communities! Regarding blog posts, I'm posting my script on there and adding some to it. It generates searchable content and I would prefer someone watch the video anyway. I saw your Share button and thought, "yea, I need to do that too." I built my site on WordPress. I have the same strategy as you do. Create snippets and spread them out on each platform. My 4th and 5th podcasts are story-based, sharing more of my experiences. I only used AI to proofread my grammar. ChatGPT suggested I remove all of my stories and keep it clear and concise! Can't always trust the AI edits.

@Elina Lesyk regarding editing, I’m decent with Adobe Premiere. My plan is to make the shorts myself without AI or other tools. But if something is free and I can drop my final in, and slice out some shorts, I might try it!
Rush to Resolution launched first episode
It took me long enough! I am finally set up and ready to get some podcasts online. Here’s what held me back from launching the first episode: - Branding. Creating a logo, color scheme, and banner graphics. This set me back a week. I’m not sold on my current graphics, but I can’t keep waiting. - Creating an RTR website to drive traffic. I currently have traffic going to BrettRush.com while I continue to build RushToResolution.com. I’m going to have accompanying blog posts. - EQing my microphone. I spent hours with different headphones, speakers, car audio, and I created presets specific for my mix. - Background music. I searched for hours. I decided to pull the guitar off of the wall and recording myself. It simplified my search. - Accompanying podcast graphics. I manually created all of the overlays in the podcast, including the logos and images. This just took a brief Adobe Premiere refresher course. NOW, I am set up to record and drop it into my Premiere template. I write my experiences for those that haven’t started to know what to plan for. I would have delegated the areas that took me a long time to achieve. Here are links to my first episode. I’m completely open to your suggestions that I’ll implement in the next one. https://open.spotify.com/episode/5FH0GkY5DFR83a32qXJh5M?si=cp6Mh0UUSvOFfRtnifBQbQ https://youtu.be/_VAtWVYg7jw

@Vasi Smith at the most basic form, record with Quicktime, Garage Band, Audacity, etc.

@Vasi Smith I would suggest recording and seeing how the quality turns out. I’m sure only their Enterprise version would allow for high quality recordings.
