Preparing for the next fight
Now I’m going to start preparing for my next fight in Japan on August 30. I’m going to get myself into top physical shape and work a lot on my technique, so that I can show more things in my next fight . There was talk about possibly going to Rizin fighting federation , so the goal at the moment is to move up to a higher skill level. We have four months to prepare, for my self I’m going to work a lot on pads with Serwan and the heavy bag. On the training, I’ll carry out all the ideas from my coach, Filip to learn and drill new techniques ore movements. Apart from that, it’s just a matter of waiting for an opponent so we can start working on a solid game plan.

In a couple af years Brent Dupuis wil be on the list 😉
Take your time for ground and pound
In Brazilian Jiu Jutsu they often say: Position before submission. The same counts for ground and pound. If you just start tapping your opponent with a flurry of taps... You're not doing that much damage. It's a difficult balance to find, but you want just enough control of the position, to load up and fire a big shot to your opponent. Or so jukuchou told us for Tatsujin fighting rules. Anyone any experience with this? Agree or disagree?

@Serwan Scheppers afcourse having the position first is the best option no arguing that but there woud be times that u can’t get there so trying the submission ore ground and pound before position its not the worst ting to do i woud do it probably also if i wil be in that situation
Road to professional fighting
This was my first professional fight. We approached it very well with a smart game plan. I focused much more on pad work and less on sparring, and that worked better for me. It was also my first weight cut. It was a bit difficult, but overall it went very smoothly. This experience will definitely help me in the future. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to do a face-off, which is the only thing missing from the full professional experience. I won the fight, and afterward, my opponent and I made peace behind the scenes. We talked with the trainer over there and discussed some future plans. From where I stand now, the future of my fighting career looks to be in very good hands. OSU
