Purpose
I was recently reading and was amazed that a short 100 years ago, people worked for themselves. Working for themselves, they found purpose and mastered skills to be successful in their growth. As with everything, work evolved into a need to survive, making working with purpose more challenging. I love that each of us are taking steps into doing what was intended years ago. It takes a special dedication to come back to our roots.

@Health Coach Heather I love this quote, and love that you place it somewhere you can reflect daily. Fear is the biggest obstacle to success. You got this!
Monday? Nope...Tuesday!!!
That was my exact thought before starting this post. I almost typed, "Happy Monday!", but quickly realized it is Tuesday. I did not post yesterday and do you want to know why? I committed to ME yesterday. I decided around 6am yesterday, that I was going to finally sit down and work on making some progress towards being more successful in my business. And it felt great! Coincidentally, I saw a quote that Mel Robbins posted this morning as I was sitting down at my laptop again and I could not help but feel like it was a sign from....whatever! lol! YOU MUST BE YOUR FIRST PRIORITY. Your life, your ambitions, your health, your happiness.... are all important. Start acting like it. -Mel I know I have posted about self-care before, but I don't think we talk about this enough! This is imperative for us and our clients alike. To make yourself a priority, focus on self-care, set boundaries, and prioritize your own needs and goals. This involves consciously scheduling time for activities that nourish your well-being, recognizing when to say no, and fostering positive self-talk. Ultimately, making yourself a priority is about valuing your own well-being and ensuring your needs are met, which can positively impact all areas of your life. Elaboration: 1. Self-Care: - Identify your needs: Understand what makes you feel loved, appreciated, respected, and joyful, and actively seek ways to fulfill those needs. - Schedule time: Just as you would schedule a doctor's appointment, block out time for activities that support your well-being, such as exercise, hobbies, or simply relaxing. - Practice self-compassion: Be kind to yourself, acknowledge your feelings, and challenge negative self-talk. - Prioritize physical health: Ensure you're eating well, getting enough sleep, and engaging in physical activity. 2. Setting Boundaries: - Learn to say no: Decline invitations or commitments that drain your energy or go against your priorities. - Communicate your needs: Clearly express your boundaries and expectations to others. - Protect your time: Be mindful of how you spend your time and energy, and prioritize activities that align with your goals.

I totally depleted myself since this past fall, and didn't realize how badly. I work for school corporation, and this is the first summer I didn't work and I really been focusing on self care. I tell client how important it is but want taking my own advice. It's very important, and a promise to myself is take better care of myself. Thank you for sharing.
"Put down the whistle...."
Building off of what we learned in @Delena Austin's podcast (You can find it in the classroom!) here is a little more about why/how coaching is not about fixing. Coaching is not about fixing a problem or "fixing" a person. It's a developmental process focused on helping individuals grow, enhance their performance, and achieve their goals. It's about unlocking potential, not repairing flaws. Coaching emphasizes self-discovery, alignment with values, and action towards desired outcomes. Here's a more detailed explanation: - Coaching is a developmental process: It's about helping individuals learn, evolve, and improve their skills and abilities. - It's not a quick fix: Coaching requires effort, commitment, and a willingness to engage in self-reflection and action. - Focus on strengths: Coaching can help individuals identify and leverage their strengths to achieve their goals. - Not a judgment or critique: Coaching should be a supportive and encouraging process, not one that focuses on blame or negativity. - Empowering individuals: Coaching helps people become more resourceful and capable of solving their own problems. - Not a one-size-fits-all approach: Effective coaching is tailored to the individual's specific needs and goals. Essentially, coaching is about empowering individuals to become the best versions of themselves, not about making them "less broken". A great little article of course..... https://mind-span.co.uk/coaching-isnt-a-fix-its-a-mirror/

Thank you for sharing links, I followed all that I could, as I'm not on all platforms. My website is currently unavailable, till I get closer to a rebranch. Schooling has taken mist of my time and needed to pause to make time for that. However, I'm still actively posting on Facebook. If you would like to follow. https://www.facebook.com/beofgrace https://www.facebook.com/share/1AuSRfXE8D/ I'm always looking for ideas that will help me grow. I would say my weakness is marketing. I also find that not many are wanting to travel. How does anyone deal with these concerns? I'm looking to be in this space worth each of you!
