@Angela Burrows Being known as the expert of all things real estate in any friend group has been the best referral source. I get most referrals/contacts in person. Always have a real estate hat on or some type of branding but the key in my opinion is in the conversation. Best way to start a real estate conversation is give a compliment (if you are in their house then make it about the house) or ask them about their job kids ect. Most will ask you about yours and then you tell them how helped a client win. And it always flows from there. What things add value to a property vs what you’ll just be throwing your money away on is by far the #1 subject I have found gets people interested. Also I use my social media, I post everything in one place. It doesn’t matter if it’s business, a joke, fitness, my frenchie, or family I post it all. People like getting to know you. (Like and comment on your friends posts too, you’ll stay top of mind) AND they will see your posts in their feed if you have been interacting with them. And do not be afraid to ask if they own their house and when they plan to move next. “Is this your forever home or do you plan to make a move at some point?” Favorite question to ask, almost nobody says forever home and it leads you to your next questions!
