Hey everyone, I’m a longtime friend of Lane and have followed his journey since the beginning back when he started his first YouTube channel. You won’t find a better guy! When he started sharing his fitness journey, I knew he was someone I could trust, and honestly his story really kicked my own health journey into overdrive. I started taking Tirzepatide on April 12, and as of today, May 27, I’m down 30 pounds!!! It definitely hasn’t been easy every day. At first, I was skeptical because the shots made me feel like I had a stomach bug for about a day after taking them. But after the first couple weeks, that feeling pretty much went away, and now it just works by quieting the constant hunger signals. I’ve also been trying to do this the right way by hitting the gym at least 3 times a week and walking or running 5 times a week because I didn’t want to lose my guns either 😂 I say all that because if you joined this group and you’re skeptical about GLP-1s, you’re in the right place. I know Lane puts in hours and hours of research to make sure he’s giving people good information, and I’m really grateful he’s been willing to be vulnerable and share his journey publicly. I still have a ways to go, but I already feel so much better and definitely feel like I’m finally headed in the right direction.

That’s crazy man! What are you dosing? I have been in a 2mg of Tirzepatide since January. Switched over to Retatrutide about 8 weeks ago and have titrated up to 1.5. I have lost about 18lbs.

Monitoring progress
How do you monitor your progress outside of the mirror? I use a Renphro biometric scale and app. Any other ideas?

@Lane Sebring @Brent Gilliam I use the Withings Body Comp scale. It’s nice. Not sure if it’s more accurate than what you have. Even if it’s off a bit, as long as the fat is trending down I think it’s good.

Good Weight lifting tips
So I’ve never been a gym rat by any stretch lol. So I don’t know a lot about how to lift weights well. Do any of you have any apps or anything that could help me succeed? I don’t have a ton of money to throw at it but I would like any info you might have.

I’m a big fan of the Mind Pump Podcast. They have a ton of different programs you can purchase. They always have a sale on one of them going on. They have programs for beginners all the way through experienced lifters. I use an app called Strong. You can create workout templates. I just create the workout from Mind Pump in the app template. I like it cause I can just use my Apple Watch to track. It’s has rest timers in it and that is key for progressive overload. Need to be resting at least 2 min between your sets.

For me, it's that I have consistently lifted long enough to really know my way around the gym. Might sound like a small thing, but I go in there with a plan, I know what I'm doing, and I get it done. @Kevin Beaufrand I just switched to two weeks ago from Tirze (2mg) so I’ve only had two doses of it. I started out really low at .5 mg for the first week and bumped .8 mg the second week. The first week I had some food noise and a good appetite. The second week I had very little food noise, but still had an appetite to get my protein in. Hope that helps!
