Question about color dominance in stranded knitting
I have a question regarding stranded colorwork terminology. While reviewing the instructions for this pattern, I want to confirm that I’m interpreting the terms correctly. My understanding is that the contrast color refers to the dominant color, while the main color refers to the background color. I knit with one color held in each hand, so following that logic, the main/background color would be held in my right hand and the contrast/dominant color in my left. However, I had previously understood “dominant” and “background” to be synonymous, which is causing some confusion. I’d appreciate clarification.

@Zanete Hussain Thunder cloud (Dark Grey) A. Cream B. Rainy Day (Lighter grey)C and Rust for D. Or repeat one of the color in A,B,or C in place of dust. Or perhaps a pretty pink instead of rust.

Hello, there, I am Bettina and happy to be here. It is my first KAL and feel unprepared and nervous. I really want to succeed and hope to get on board with the supply needed. I do not have a stash of leftover yarn and would have to purchase just for this project. Where do I start so that I can catch up with you all?
