Should I niche down more?
Hey guys I need some help and feedback, so lately after talking with a few people I started to wonder if my niche or offer is too vague. I don't want to pivot or change what I'm doing, but I feel like I might should zoom more in and be more specific. So until now my offer was and my Skool group is around "Helping solopreneurs build profitable YouTube funnels" which is not a bad offer and I felt like the "solopreneurs" and "youtube funnel" was already somewhat niche and it enabled me to express myself on a wide range of topics however I was thinking about it and I know so many people who do similar stuff not that I don't have my unique take on this but still, so I wondered what if I zoom in and go more niche? Would that be more or less valuable? the new messaging is: "Helping solopreneurs make VSL youtube videos" (not exactly sure if this is the finnal messaging) but what I mean is going from the vague "youtube funnels" to a part of the youtube funnel which is "VSL videos" I believe every piece of content that's goal is to sell or get someone closer to buying could be considered a VSL video so there would still be a lot to talk here (+ I have the credentials of generating with one VSL $1M+ ) So my question to you guys, I don't think I need advice rather feedback, if you put yourself in the shoe of a prospect and see a skool group that says ""helping you build youtube funnels" or "helping you create VSL youtube videos" which one grabs your attention more and you perceive as more valuable? please let me know what you think in the comment section, thanks in advance! PS: also when I looked at my channel I realised I already talk a lot about VSLs lately so its might not even be a pivot

@Anna Nguyen but it doesnt change anything if they are consulting on finance, health or branding what matters is what message and identity they resonate with this is what I came up with

@Anna Nguyen yeah after asking people and thinking for myself Organic VSLs seems a way stronger frame and sound more valuable than a vague funnel and I have more credibility there
Struggling with CTR
Apart from the most recent one, all these videos have gotten 1-2% CTR. What do you guys think is the cause?

@Aaron Gold I mean I don't have a black and white answer to this, can you give an example of what you are thinking about for yourself that you consider "too niche?"

@Aaron Gold yeah I think you can go more niche, thats still somewhat too broad like maybe targetting that persona but also having a specific outcome or path you want to help them choose
How to write and film a quality hook/Intro for your videos!
Hey Hey Guys and Girls! As per last week's post on thumbnails and recognising what works etc. This week I will give a run down on how to make a banging hook for your videos so they retain💯. **EXAMPLE ON A PRIOR VIDEO OF MINE AT THE BOTTOM** **Any questions bang them in the comments below** FIRST & FOREMOST - Think of the title first! Think of a cracking title first, as you can't have a hook/intro that aligns with the viewer's intro if you don't know what you are going to title it (It doesn't have to be a solidified title, but something along the lines as a draft is good enough also).... From here, the first sentence that comes out of your mouth NEEDS TO IDEALLY confirm to the audience that this is a time-worthy and not clickbait video. Just remember, there isn't a shortage of information anymore, just a shortage of good presentation and relevance. BONUS POINTS if you can align the first couple of scenes to the thumbnail (as discussed in the thumbnail thread here: https://www.skool.com/brand/thumbnails-lets-hear-your-process) SECONDLY - Keep it short and sweet, no waffle! If it doesn't add or build to the video's title - cut it! THIRDLY - Start to get into the video details and value ASAP - In this example video, it starts at 0012 mark, in others, I have them starting around the 30 mark for longer, more detailed videos (think travel guides)... If you guys need some help with your intros/hooks - drop a comment on the post and we can help :) FOR CONTEXT/EXAMPLE: TITLE: Top 10 Things To Know Before Coming To Da Nang Vietnam INTRO SCRIPT: What's up, guys? Man, I'm Panda. And in this video, we're going to go through the top 10 things that you need to know before coming to Da Nang, Vietnam. Regardless if you're a tourist or a long-term expat, these are the 10 things that you need to know to have the best time here in Da Nang. Let's go. (00:13) Point number one, short and sweet. The best bank here is VP Bank. It charges zero

it has low CTR because this is a search based video, so it will start out with low numbers but continuously will get new views like the main idea of the framework I personally have a little bit more complex one, which is more of a checklist and the more things I can check of the more I know its a great hook: - match and expand on the title/thumbnail - establish credibility - open a loop - show how this video is unique its a bigger list but the more thing Im able to check off the better the hook is, and once I was able to check everything off I know I have a solid hook Also this is more for browse content rather than search content
