Quick question for the creators here…
When you first started posting consistently, what felt the hardest: ideas, scripting, editing, or just hitting publish? Coming from the eCommerce world, my biggest shift was realizing YouTube works the same way:clarity beats complexity Once I focused on one idea, one hook, one takeaway per video, everything got easier What part of YouTube are you trying to improve right now? Let’s swap what’s been working
Lessons from batching - what's your process?
My podcast episodes are short, 10-15 minutes, and come out twice a week, on YT and podcast platforms. I batch the episodes, and there's a lot involved, but it makes it so much easier. Here are a few things I do that might help you streamline your process: 1. Have a google doc with all of your episodes listed. Mine includes: date published, and a check box for every step: recording, editing, exporting, uploading, writing the description, creating the thumbnail, writing the title, creating the pretty link and adding the podcast player to my blog post, scheduling the episode. 2. Putting more effort into titles and descriptions pays off, especially for YT reach. Before I record, I think about my thumbnail image, write out a hook that comes before my podcast intro to grab the listener's attention, and decide on a title. 3. Split test thumbnails! 4. Batching can be tiring! I can do 4-5 episodes a day right now. I record everything one day, and the next day I do all the rest of the processing. What process works for you with getting your episodes out regularly?
Beginner YouTube Advice That Actually Matters
Start simple, but stay consistent. You don’t need expensive gear your phone + good lighting is enough. Focus on your first 30 seconds. If you can hook viewers early, YouTube will push your video more. Pick a niche you can talk about for a long time. Not what’s “popular” . what you can stay consistent with. Study your analytics. CTR (thumbnail), retention (pacing), and AVD (story flow) are the keys to faster growth. Don’t chase perfection. Chase progress. Every video teaches you something. The first 20 are practice. Engage with your viewers. Comments, community posts, replies this builds real loyalty. Treat YouTube like a skill, not luck. The more you upload, analyze, and adjust, the faster you grow.
