Well, I don’t know if this counts, but I’d love to be able to turn my left ankle. I twisted it pretty bad a while ago, and it’s never been the same since. Part of it is it just doesn’t move like it did before the injury, but I think another thing is I’m holding back because I’m afraid of hurting it again. So today I just worked on edges, manuals and turns…little things to get some muscle memory back and to lose the fear. But as far as actual skills, I’d love to learn some footwork. I have none. I skate trails, skateparks and derby, all of which are pretty rugged and don’t require the finesse of precision footwork, so I’m watching videos here and trying to figure it out!
