I'm not certain what you mean by dress sneaker. As far as I know, there is no such thing - at least officially. There is no sneaker that *should* be worn while adhering to any formal or semi-formal dress code... If you're talking about those Frankenshoes that try to have the appearance of a dress shoe upper with a sneaker sole, well, I wouldn't be caught dead in a pair of those. My wife would divorce me for wearing those almost as fast as she would if I wore a pair of Hey Dudes or Crocs... I have approximately 30 pairs of footwear. I say approximately because I have a couple of pairs that I am preparing to rehome in some form or fashion, and I'm not really counting water/shower shoes nor house shoes as footwear for this discussion. Plus I have a couple more new pairs in transit, as I type... I have six pairs I would readily wear with a suit: - Tan Double-Monks (Free Form Shoes) - Oxblood Wingtips (Carets) - Oxblood Cap-Toe Oxfords (Carets) - Dark Brown Cap-Toe Oxfords (Carets) - Black Cap-Toe Oxfords (Carets) - Black Nubuck Derby Boots (Carets) I have a few more casual options that I might consider wearing with the right suit in the right situation, such as a lighter-colored pair of Chelsea or Chukka boots or a pair of loafers. I have three pairs of casual boots: - Medium-Tan Suede Chelsea Boots (Free Form Shoes) - Dark-Brown, Waterproof, Casual Chelsea Boots (Lems Shoes) - Light-Tan Suede Chukka Boots (Free Form Shoes) I have six pairs of sneakers: - Canvas Cream Sneakers (Lems Shoes) - Mid-Gray Suede Sneakers (Lems Shoes) - Mid-Tan Suede Sneakers (Lems Shoes) - Navy Blue Suede Sneakers (Birkenstock) - Navy, Synthetic, Casual Sneakers (Lems Shoes) - Black, Minimalist Sneakers - aka My Gym Shoes (Altra) I have 14 pairs of loafers or slip-ons, mostly leather, in various forms: - Venetian Loafers (Oiled leather, suede, perforated leather, & canvas) - Driving Moccasins - Woven Leather Slip-Ons (Summer Loafers) - Woven Leather Huaraches
