Introduction
Hi, my name is Kerry, I’m from London, and I work as a admin team leader. I have recently been diagnosed with ADHD, finding it a bit overwhelming if I am honest, catching myself looking back over my life and seeing so many instances where it could have been picked up sooner, if only I had known that girls/women could suffer from it too, it wasn’t heard of when I was in school. - I’m here because I want to learn more about ADHD, and avoid the challenges we are all experiencing on a daily basis, to help myself and also other sufferers, things like forgetfulness, fogginess, trying to do too many things at once, avoiding/ignoring the brain chattering and help with procrastination. For fun, I like to: - Paint, Draw, Gardening, candle making, cake making, playing with my cat Smudge, felt animals. I love listening to music, watching movies mainly horrors, but I also love to work (strange, I know) but I do. I have uploading pictures of my plants in my garden as spending time gardening brings me peace and a lot of calm

💭 Reflection: I’m over the moon I have done this challenge it’s made me feel more peaceful, calm and learned so much about ADHD and how I can take action to keep myself balanced, my happiness, energy, focus, motivation and calmness have all improved since I first started. @Jj Mulder 🤣 Welcome to the community 😊
My report is mind blowing
Just got my ADHD Snapshot and one line stopped me cold: I've spent my whole life "putting on a front" and calling it tiredness. Turns out the exhaustion was never from doing too little - it was from holding two people together at once, the one everyone sees and the one keeping it all running underneath. The other realisation? The kindness I'd give my 13-year-old self is exactly the kindness I keep refusing to give me now.

@Sd Brown I completely agree, girls were not considered, I think it’s still quite hard and girls/women even now can/are being misdiagnosed too even today. I do feel like lessons are being learned but albeit slowly. Which puts us at a disadvantage. I’m sure it will change one day which is great but I understand your frustrations at feeling like you were left behind and things could have been a lot different had a diagnosis been received earlier. Your strong, resilient I have no doubt you’ll find yourself with this group and flourish the way it should have been. 🌷🙏🫶

@Sd Brown maybe you can relive some aspects, and we change in the next chapter by trying to stop pretending we’re okay all the time. If speak up when we feel overwhelmed or need a break.

📅 Daily Check-in - June 30, 2026 💭 Reflection: "Right now I feel... I don't know. Not feeling much of anything. I can feel a little bit of anxiety in my chest. It's wanting to come forward, but doing my best to suppress it. What's really bothering me is... I can't move forward. I need to get rid of my rock. In the meantime, I found a rock that is in front of the original rock. Neither is easy, they wouldn't be if they were called rocks. One is basically telling my dad that I'd prefer he move his camper to a campground and live there rather than in it and using my electric, my wifi, my streaming (were part of the lease agreement). He's now doing laundry here. I've had to deal with his negativity, and we have nothing to talk about. It's the same old stories, same complaints, the same grudges. He's got to go. How do you tell that to a parent? I will be going to bed by my original planned bedtime. I woke up late and feel like I've lost part of the day, even though I'm not doing much because of the hand still wrapped from surgery last week." 📊 Wellbeing Scores: 😊 Happiness: 7/10 ⚡ Energy: 6/10 🎯 Focus: 6/10 🌙 Sleep Quality: 8/10 🔥 Motivation: 7/10 ⭐ Average: 6.8/10 ✅ Activities from yesterday: 🛏️ Good Sleep 💧 Stayed Hydrated 🌬️ Breathwork ☕ No Late Caffeine ⏰ Intermittent Fasting 💊 Took Supplements 🙏 Prayer 📵 No Social Media ⏱️ Time Blocking 📚 Reading 🧠 Learning 🤝 Helped Someone

@Shawn Bailey Small steps can be a good things to avoid the overwhelm but facing it head on will perhaps save you a lot of stress and pain in the long run. I do hope the situation improves for you, I mean that, it can’t be easy. 🙏
