The Bottom Line SEO, AEO, and GEO are like different helpers that all help people find you — just in different ways. Think of the Internet Like a Big Library 📚 SEO (Search Engine Optimization) 👉 Helps Google find your book - You organize your book so Google knows what it’s about - This helps your page show up in search results Job: “Help people find my page.” AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) 👉 Helps Google answer questions from your book - You write clear answers so Google can read them out loud - Used for voice search, featured snippets, AI answers Job: “Help people get a direct answer from my page.” GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) 👉 Helps AI explain your ideas - You structure info so AI (like ChatGPT) can summarize, remix, and recommend you - Used when AI gives full explanations or suggestions Job: “Help AI talk about me correctly.” How They Work Together - SEO gets you on the shelf - AEO gets you quoted - GEO gets you explained The Counter-Intuitive Find You don’t “pick one.”If your content is clear, structured, and helpful, you’re doing all three at once.
