Transit crankcase pressure
Pulling my hair out here because “customers always right” Got a transit 2.0 ecoblue, I’ve put a head on it and the customer took it away and is complaining of too much crank pressure and smoke out the oil filler with the cap off, I’ve put a pressure transducer in the oil filler and this is my waveform, my question is does it look right, is 300mBar too much crank pressure in a 2.0ecoblue. Any thoughts or suggestions please!!!

@Robert Shervill it had a slight injector leak so I’ve put another set of seals and bolts on it but other than that i think he’s just “fault” finding

@Cliff Perry without the subscription you can still use the tool, you just won’t get new releases or support, it is only £280 ish for a year of subscription though for slave tool

1.5dci came in with no power, wouldn’t rev above 1500rpm, fault codes p2263 and p0106, with ignition on boost pressure matched atmospheric pressure, with engine running the boost pressure dropped, rev the engine it and it dropped more, looked under the bonnet with engine running and the boost pipe from intercooler to throttle body was sucked in, disconnected the pipe going into the intercooler and it was the same, removed the pipe after the intercooler and it revved fine, quick check of the inside of the intercooler with the borescope revealed this absolute mess. Obviously the intercooler being blocked is the cause of no power and the fault codes but it is a symptom of something else failed/failing. Question, what would be the next step to finding the cause of the inlet side of the intercooler blocking up with what looks to be soot or carbon?

@Philip McCutcheon it’s still there so I will put the boost pipes back on Monday and check the maf readings, will be good to know for future reference
Scanners
What scan tool(s) is everyone using, I’ve got a topdon phoenix smart and an autel mk906 which has unfortunately died today, do I upgrade the autel to a newer more capable autel or does anyone recommend a different brand, garage also has a snap on something or another but I’m not a huge fan of it
