@Kaushik Patel let us know how it goes!

Unfortunately, mambo class isn’t available where I live. I’ve been dancing on1 since te beginning of my salsa journey. 💃 i’m having so much fun with this platfom! This is what I truly love, so finally being able to dance, it makes this community feel even more special. 💖 I was smiling the whole class! 😄 The energy is so vibrant 🌟 Even though the double turns are a bit of a pain right now 😅 (that weight transfer needs work!), I’m really enjoying the challenge. 💪 Sometimes my legs/my body feel a bit heavy while dancing, if that makes sense, but I know it’ll get better with practice. ✨ Shoutout to you guys for making this happen 🙌👏

You have a great natural swing to your step that almost looks effortless! Keep that! Small note: in your basic arms, be mindful at the wrist that they don’t collapse or downward, try to lift the wrist a bit from the pinky side so the wrist don’t flap. Great work! Keep working! ✨

Intentions were to enjoy and smile more (like Elian haha). I noticed how sometimes I used too much momentum during the double turns (causing imbalance) — on a positive note, I really liked how I collected my feet! Ashley’s tip to commit to a full weight transfer during turn preps has changed my life! I’m working to implement this moving forward.

Great work Maria! If I watched this on mute I can still tell you’re enjoying the music & dance instead of just executing the combination which is the point! 🔥🔥🔥 love to see you embracing the fun and joy, even when things get complicated! It’s a balance (: love to it!

💭 Real Talk
What’s the most challenging thing about learning salsa so far? Timing? Remembering steps? Confidence? You’re probably not the only one experiencing it. Share below 👇

@Kübra Yürekli I relate to this a lot. Honestly, I still feel this way sometimes. The moment you start caring deeply about your dancing is also the moment you realize how much there is to learn. That feeling never fully goes away and in a strange way, that’s actually a good sign. My advice is this: don’t measure your dancing by “how far you still have to go.” Measure it by how consistent you are with the process. Show up, train, stay curious, and allow yourself to enjoy the small improvements along the way. The dancers who grow the most aren’t the ones who feel “ready” they’re the ones who keep showing up even while feeling like they still have so much to learn. And the fact that you love it that much? That’s the most important part. ❤️

@Maria Ortiz I relate to this a lot. Many people who grew up dancing socially already have great instinct, rhythm, and joy in the dance. When you start training—especially something structured like On2—it can suddenly make you question things you used to do naturally. But that’s actually a normal part of learning. Training doesn’t erase your natural dance ability; it just gives you more tools and awareness. There’s usually a phase where things feel a little awkward or overthought because your brain is processing new information. With time, the goal is to blend the two: keep the musicality and freedom you grew up with, while adding the technique and structure you’re learning. When those two meet, that’s when dancers really start to feel confident again
