@Francesco Dell'Anna I largely agree with your points. Especially regarding Polievre - a very sad and I believe avoidable outcome. Regarding Europe, trump's saber rattling has had results, like increased defense spending from European countries, and even now they are pledging meaningful investment in Greenland.I have no issues with substantive discussion (and as such no issues with you), however original poster seems more abusive than constructive.

Caspian Report
He claimed that Iranians inside Iran do not support in mass Pahlavi. All I hear seeing the protest is Javid Shah.

He basically claims that the regime has a wide base of support, and he bases this on the fact that 30 million people voted for the hardliners in the last election. He says that's why we aren't seeing big structural changes outside of protests which are amplified and given the veneer of a mass nationalist movement where there is none (basically says it's all astroturfed by Pahlavi and allies), when in actuality they have no support on the ground and in the diaspora the opposition is highly fractured and does not uniformly support the king by any means. Blamed uprising on economic factors brought on by revoking JCPOA, adding sanctions and the 12 day war which destroyed important oil and gas infrastructure, and now that the Rial has collapsed this 'forces' the population to revolt, where they wouldn't otherwise without these external pressures (he ties all the demonstrations to economic sanctions and says that since the Iran deal was revoked there have been protests every two years). He finishes by saying the Artesh is not as strong as the IRGC and that people from IRGC will not defect because they are entrenched in the current system and that for anything to even start to happen towards regime change we will not a total collapse of the IRGC.
