Happy Monday 🌻
Happy Monday! I hope that everyone had a great weekend. Who is ready for week 2 of our workouts? Maybe your goal is to complete one more workout than last week… or simply to move your body more than you did last week. Small steps add up, and consistency always beats perfection. Let’s make it a great week 💪

@Endot Hestand amazing job on today's workout. I am sorry about your big toe condition. How did I not know that about you? 😀 And don't worry too much about where you are feeling the step ups, as long as you are feeling it. I like to lean forward on those to make sure I am really working my glutes. Feel free to video them if you want to and I can take a look at your form. And I think that is an amazing goal for the week. You've got this!

@Endot Hestand oh goodness, I am sorry. I cannot imagine. I have the worst in grown toenail right now and it's so painful. I would hate to be in pain all the time. It sounds like you know what aggravates it though. How are you feeling today otherwise? Sore at all?
Going MIA this weekend 😀
Hey friends, I will be MIA for my birthday weekend. However, please feel free to private message me if you need anything at all. Otherwise, I will see you on Monday for week 2 of our workouts (I am thinking that we will add on a food challenge the following week but I didn't want to overwhelm anyone). Have a great weekend!

@Endot Hestand it was nice. Thank you. Earth Day would have been much better with all of you though. I was disappointed in the lack of San Diego vegan community that showed up.
Share your wins from the week!
Happy Friday! 🌿✨ Before the weekend begins, take a moment to recognize your wins from this week — big or small. Maybe you got a workout in, increased your steps, made a nourishing meal, slept better, or tried something new. Drop one win from your week below so we can celebrate with you 👇

@Amy Szeliga I love that so much and am really proud of you. I am really glad that you listened to your body. Have a wonderful hike tomorrow. How did the testing go?

@Amy Szeliga of course you did. I didn't have any doubt. 😀 But congratulations.

Oh, this looks interesting. Thank you for sharing. I am not sure that I will participate with this next weekend being my birthday weekend but I will check it out 😀 Are you going to do it?
New Information in Our "Movement" Section
Hey all, just an FYI that there is new information in our "Movement" section of the classroom. Please let me know if you have any questions. Also, for those who worked out yesterday, how are you feeling? Are we still friends? 😀

@Amy Szeliga nice job on SIT. That sounds fantastic! And I hope it goes well tonight. I had no idea that you were doing that. You are definitely super active! I am very inspired. No worries about the schedule. We have plenty of time 😀

@Amy Szeliga I like to aim for strength when working my largest muscle groups: chest, back, quads, glutes. I lift as heavy as I can and try to get close to failure. Right now, that is still about 8-10 reps. because my weights at home aren't heavy enough. I do 3-4 sets, depending on the exercise. When it comes to things like bis, tris and shoulders, I aim more for hypertrophy and do 12-15 reps., normally 3 sets. Also, if I am having a day where I am super tired (normally before my cycle), I may do all hypertrophy and forget about strength. I have always loved the 15 rep. range but I know that true strength training is what my body needs right now. Let me know if that makes sense. I know that a lot of menopause experts recommend 5 X 5 (5 reps, 5 sets).
