Next Class
Just finished my History class, getting ready for OOP python 103. If anybody has any notes or knows any like videos that explain this please let me know.

I loved History but fought with the bot a bit because I lived through the second week and worked and lived within the east coast Military tech world (my father was a Mech Eng specialized in actuators and the avionic world, my sister and brother-in-law are in the thick of it today with General Dynamics and Military GPS stuff). OOP is big conceptually. it is the step that makes building projects clearer to imagine and map out. My notes are worthless because I'm coming at it sideways... I've been using OOP concepts in other disciplines for ages, so my notes are connecting dots.

Laptop
Those of you that have signed the agreement and received your laptop… how long after you signed the agreement did it take for you to get the email with tracking information?? I signed mine the 19th and have been checking my email multiple times a day 😅😂 Anxiously awaiting any updates about it lol but I also need to make sure someone is home to sign for it when it is finally coming… so I’m curious just how long it took for you guys!

@Larry Hicks I was a Debian linux user forever (that is where Ubuntu was born from). Now I run Ubuntu everywhere. My non-school laptop is an i9 Dell with 32gb running Ubuntu Studio for over 2 years, my homelab is all Ubuntu server... but as of yesterday I have a Windows 11 VM carved out of it for an international client I just picked up. I need to lift and shift a lot of Windows infra, so I need a windows instance to RDP into it from.

@Larry Hicks you shouldn't just copy/paste output from other places. Of course the M5 is better than the Neo's A18... but nobody is getting free M5 with maxed ram machines from school. the A18 +8gb limits local model LLM dev, but it is perfectly suited as a software dev platform.

Soooo… I waited a while for money to come in from my loan refund. May 7th it finally hit… Awesome!!! Then two weeks later another one hit. Cool! Figured it was just time for the next one since the first one took a bit to arrive. Now, exactly one week later, I get ANOTHER deposit??? I mean, I’m happy, I’ll take it. lol 😂 but it also has me a little nervous and worried… 😅🥴🤦🏼♀️ Like is it just all coming back to back and nothing more until like fall? Ooorrrrr… did someone on their side make a boo-boo? 😅 Anyone else had theirs come in back to back like this??

I got my first 2 late in one sum, then I have a 3rd coming on the 8th (I should see it on the 11th)... all from 25-26 school year.

I just wanted to say that 18 to 80 never stop growing, when anything in nature stops growing it starts dying. At 46 I may be an old man to some, young to others, but I'm in great shape physically and mentally... Well I hope that I'm still holding it together. So continue to strive to be the best version of you that you can be and let nothing deter you. Remember " Trying is free, but giving up will cost you everything!" Have a great day!

I turned 58 this past March, I strive to learn something every day... always have. Not unlike the Ted Lasso's "Be Curious" scene... we've got this.
