MaestroStudy Beta
https://maestrostudy.web.app/ I just published the beta version of MaestroStudy. Before I move it over to it's official domain, take the database out of test mode, and finish up the study guides, quizzes, and lesson videos for the 2 courses I started with, I want to let people test it out. You can sign in with your existing Maestro Student email, and it'll prompt you to fill out your profile. For now it's got comments and the ability to post images in comments. (Sign-In is not required to access study guides, only to comment) NOTE: I'm only doing AI Software Engineering courses for now. (once the site proves itself to be bug-free, I will request contributions from those in the other pathways to build out those courses and study guides)

@Ashley Medina appreciate the supportive words! So that's just the first lesson for PY101, every lesson after that will have actual lesson breakdowns. It's got some content now but the study guides are not finalized. I'm trying to balance my courses and creating the study guides. In an ideal world, I'm hoping to get help filling out the study guides. On the about page, I added instructions with an email to send notes to for anyone who wishes to contribute.

@Ashley Medina thanks so much!
We need just 25% of students to save the entire school.
💀 This is it. Time to Rally, Maestrians.💀 If we want to keep our school, we have to show it. Accrediting teams are watching. If just 25% of us get active on NextGen Campus every week—posting, voting, joining events—we can SAVE Maestro’s standing. Don’t wait for someone else. Stand up. This matters for your degree, your friends, and your future. I built NextGen Campus for US, and Maestro is backing all of us right now. This is about students coming together, not just chatting with AIs all day. It’s about proving we’re a real student body. So go now. Meet up, post, talk, compete, help someone. Show them what we’re made of. It starts here: https://maestro-campus-link.base44.app Let’s save our school. Together.

I'm guessing that would be a cross-origin error that's blocking the redirect (to prevent cross-site tracking behavior) not allowing sign in with google to work. Somebody check the console lol
Roadmap.sh
I found this website recently that gives you a flowchart guide to a ton of different development careers. I've never seen a career visualize quite like it. Would be perfect for people in the AI Software Engineering program who are not sure what kind of career they want to pursue post-graduation. You can also find guides by skill so you can make sure you don't miss anything essential when trying to master a skillset.

my network gear is pretty simple. i used to use TP-Link hardware, but then I tried an Eero mesh router because it was included without equipment fee with my fiber internet. So basically just an Eero Pro 6 with a gigabit switch hooked up to it. then i just use Tailscale to make everything an accessible node. I'm sure there's a much more complex, control-oriented way to set that up, but tailscale made it so easy, I hadn't bothered yet.

I've wanted to create a PiHole device forever for ad blocking, but Raspberry Pi pricing and always being out of stock, makes it not worth it for me. If I can ever snag a Pi Zero W 2 for $20 or less, I'll take a day to set it up. I'd love if I could fix my old 3d printer too and then start printing SBC enclosures. I just have too many projects, like most people I suppose. Lately, I've been obsessed with repurposing LCD and OLED panels from laptops into portable/stationary monitors. I don't know what it is, but I'm OBSESSED.
Notes and Study Guides Updated!! (FINALLY!)
So I’ve been behind on posting my notes. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I was sick and got behind in coursework and started trying to get my notes done as I was working through it… Then ChatGPT (the app version I’ve always used) started being a butthole 😂 It kept telling me it didn’t have access to the tools it needed and apparently didn't want to help me make my notes. 🥴😅 The web version is immensely better and worked for me, thankfully!! I was ready to cry, tbh. But I have everything up to week 3 of CS102 posted. I’m working on finishing up Week 4 and it will be up soon!! But everything is updated in my linktree now!!! So sorry for anyone that it inconvenienced with them not being posted sooner! Just happy I’m able to get them done again. I spent WEEKS trying to get the app to make them, talking in circles with it. Ugh!! Oh well! Lesson learned to just use the web version from now on! Here’s the link again if anyone needs it! https://linktr.ee/madison.page87

I think it's because ChatGPT has been seriously limiting token usage lately. i kept hitting limits using it for maestro notes once i stopped paying for ChatGPT plus and went back to free. back to Gemini it is. there are some days where I get 100 prompts out of gemini and don't even hit the limit. but it doesn't format the notes quite as nicely as ChatGPT. so it's a tradeoff.
Maestro Course Wiki for AI Software Engineering
I just started the PSYC100 course and as I was doing the first few lessons and started thinking. Because all of these individual courses (at least early on) are standard courses taught at many colleges and universities, many of them have video material that lines up perfectly with our lessons. I was thinking about creating a study guide website where it'll let you pick a maestro course and then see some amazing video content made by college instructors and experts in the field. We could include the longer lecture style videos for people who learn that way and then also the shorter "to the point" style content. I love Maestro, just want to create the bridge so learning doesn't stop in an AI lesson and die on the vine. I plan on theming it to look very similar to the Maestro site and this skool group, so it feels like a natural extension of everything else we all use. I'm gonna leave a poll on this to gauge interest: Are you interested in a study guide website that gives you additional resources to strengthen your learning in each course and lesson?

I also want to get together a quick list of resources like the contact emails, grounded information about disbursements, we can put the link to the forms many of us had to manually ask for. @Maestro Collective gave us the contact emails in a list which was awesome and it's actually how i got ahold of the president of the college about my financial aid disbursements. that type of stuff for new and existing students would be great. It's gonna have links to go back to the skool group and also to go to all the essential parts of maestro so it's actually somewhat convenient. there's gonna be comments only and you'll be able to add a profile picture and your cohort. but it's not meant to replace the social aspect of this group at all. just a way to give people down the road who don't have a skool account or don't know about it to check it out. maybe inquiring students even. it'll also have a direct link back to this skool group that way more students can eventually join. but you have to sign in to comment in the current iteration. maybe more features could be added but the focus is studying to accompany maestro practice and maestro support. TL;DR: I'm gonna add a survival guide style resource list to the site now, and then I'm gonna start adding content. No registration requirement + will have sign in with google integrated so you only need a maestro edu email to be able to comment on posts, add cohort, and change profile picture. not meant to be full on social. just meant to give another cohesive resource for new and existing students in AI Software Engineering.
