Sick Advice?
Good morning! On Sunday this past week I ended up in the ER with pneumonia like systems. Unfortunately it’s some sort of virus so no treatment plan except rest and fluids. I’m towards the beginning of a half marathon plan to build my base for the marathon and I KNOW rest is so so important especially when I’m ill. But struggling to not feel like I’m falling behind and already “failing” my goal of sticking to the plan. I’m feeling better so going to do a walk tonight but just looking for stories/advice on how to continue training with a setback like this. I missed my Sunday long run and my Tuesday run so far. Feeling out when I can continue getting back out there.

I used to solely be a morning gym person and have gotten out of it.. really would like to get back in the morning habit as I continue training

The Week Ahead
Hey y’all! What does everyone’s training schedule look like for this upcoming week? Any runs you’re particularly excited for, or is there one you’re maybe a little nervous about? We’ll be your hype crew to get you through it! 😊 For me, I’m both excited and nervous about my half this Saturday. It’s gonna be challenging and an all-out effort, but I’m excited to let the legs rip after this training block and give it all I’ve got!

Hi yall! Super stoked to join this group after recently finding this podcast. I am a former athlete who’s found her home in the gym with lifting but has always wanted to run a marathon. My cousin ran her first last year and is finally getting me over that hump to run one with her. Shooting for Milwaukee Lakefront on October 4th!
