Holding yarn in Colourwork
Hi ho 😊 how do you all hold your yarn during the colourwork? Are you knitting continental? I switch between having the yarn separately and picking it up every time and having both on one finger, if the floats are longer, because securing the floats is easier for me that way. However, I struggle a lot with the tension of the dominant yarn, when having both on the hand.

@Pamela Barber so you knit continental and still hold the yarn in the right hand? Amazing how many different techniques there are 🤯 🤩

@Anne Bertinuson aaaah. Understood. 😀 I tried that to and didn't get any tension whatsoever 😂 Crazy, how it is so hard for one and natural to the other
Finished Clue 4
Finally done with Clue 4 realizing I screwed up the pattern with the slip stitches in clue 3 🤦 I want to hurry up now. I am so far behind and I would love to be on one of the beautiful collages. 🥹

The moment when the 5th Clue gets out...
You’ve probably guessed what this clue is about since there isn’t much left to do. 🫣 It might not feel as exciting as the earlier clues, and for some of you, it might even mean there’s not much to work on—especially if your row gauge was on the longer side. If that’s the case, think of this as a little breather before the big finale. 🙂 But if you’re doing the longer version (like I did!) or your row gauge is tighter, you’ll have plenty of knitting to keep you busy until the next clue comes out. 🧶 Right now, over 420 projects have made it past Clue 1 on Skool, with new people still joining in! Plus, 175 have already finished Clue 4, and lots of you sharing your progress with big smiles, and honestly, nothing makes me happier! If you’ve already got the pattern, check your inbox or refresh your Ravelry library to grab the Clue 5 file. If you haven’t joined yet, you can get the pattern here. No new tutorials this time! For those who had issues with playing the videos recently, I hope that’s sorted now. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get much help from Loom support, but if you’re still having trouble, shoot me a DM with your device, OS version, browser (and version), and your general location (just the town is fine). 🙏 Alright, let’s get knitting! 💪

And I'm still stuck on Clue 4 😭
Catching Up!
After frogging the first attempt at clue #3, I reassessed my color choices, found a yarn that’s been in the stash for over 3 years (color B), went down 2 needle sizes and it fits! These colors are so much more “me” than the first attempt and I love how it looks so far. It’s brighter and mildly chaotic, and I love it so much! I’ve also learned that I’m more of a loose knitter than I thought. I’m learning so much from this MYAL.

This is so fun to look at. And the blue is a real eye catcher 🥰 Looks like a cozy party to me ☕

I learned knitting and crocheting when I was just in school, I never did a lot of projects, but as I grow older it becomes more of a passion.
