Tonight, I’ll also be sharing a few licks by Tim Kliphuis — licks rooted in the tradition of the great masters such as Grappelli, which I was kindly allowed to record for the Jazz Line Lab lick list, both as video scores and in live sessions. Tim often says that these licks themselves come from the great masters, and that sharing them is a way of keeping this legacy alive. By learning them and applying them in all 12 keys, they become ready knowledge that naturally flows out in improvisation. Aujourd’hui, j’aimerais partager un joli lick d’Eva Slongo, filmé pendant le stage à Rogues en 2023. Ce soir, je partagerai également quelques licks de Tim Kliphuis — des licks issus de la tradition des grands maîtres comme Grappelli, que j’ai été aimablement autorisée à enregistrer pour la liste de licks du Jazz Line Lab, à la fois en vidéo-score et en sessions live.
