Starting Over
Hi, I'm Amy a Nutritionist and (natural) Weight Loss Expert. I started on Skool early 2025. My community is DEAD. No interaction, no new members except private clients that I put into the community. This is my fault. I built my Skool platform as a place to house my nutrition-weight loss course and interact with my 1:1 clients and have my group client coaching calls. It is a 'consumer' space. I trained the group to consume my content and value information over connection. Engagement is solitary, watching rather than posting. They get what they need then leave or go totally quiet. For 2026 I want to rebuild my community into a real community. That's why I'm here. I need help. Unfortunately when I built it I used the url: weight loss for women. That's my niche market but I do work with men and want to include them as part of the community. Ideally I'd rather not kill what I have and totally start over. Hoping the name can be managed. My pricing has been all over the pace for 2025. I'm thinking of making it a $29/month community. A place where I live my talk (which I do) while helping (coaching), guiding and supporting others on their health and wellness journey. This includes people who are making food and lifestyle changes without meds but also supporting those on GLP-1 or coming off/off GLP-1. I will be grateful for any and all support, guidance, ideas.

I just watched the pricing structure video. Interesting. Starting at $7 for 'founding members' and then price increases (provided people are joining, I assume) from 7 to $15, then 15 to $25, then 25 to $37, then 37 to $49 and so on or stay. She was saying price increases monthly. I currently have one paying member at $29/month. I'm sure she's be thrilled to be down graded to $7/month but not sure how to do that.

@Julie Smith I’ve been all over the place. I suspect any model can work. I’ve been holding my course material close for years but in reality people don’t work with me for the course material, they pay me for coaching, the 1:1 interaction and facilitation of group coaching. I’m going to make my course materials available in my community as incentive to participate - things become available as user points increase. I’ll have my phase 1 as free-open and from there they will need points to open and move through the roadmap.
Celebrating a win
I have 20 members in my community. I’m so excited for this growth. Trying to stay consistent.

Congratulations!!! That is a huge win.
A Simple 2-Post Holiday Engagement Win 🎄
Sharing a little freebie content idea you can use this week—especially if December feels busy and posting feels heavier than normal. 🎄 I’m doing this on my own Facebook page right now, and I’ve already had people commenting who don’t normally comment (which tells me it’s doing exactly what engagement posts should do). Here’s the simple 2-post sequence: Post #1: Share a photo of yourself holding a Christmas card (old or new) and ask: “Are we still mailing Christmas cards or not—and why?” Post #2 (1–2 days later): Share a photo of yourself holding a stack of old cards (or just an envelope) and ask: “Now that we’ve decided… what do you do with all the old Christmas cards you’ve saved over the years?” Why it works: • Nostalgia • Opinions • Stories • Zero pressure to be perfect I’ve already posted the first one and I’ll be circling back today or tomorrow with the second. I’ll also be using a photo of myself for both posts. Steal it, tweak it, make it yours. Simple human content wins in December.

This could work on Tiktok too.
Pricing Structure
I just watched Evelyn's video about pricing for a new group with $5-7 as the founding member price and then price increases monthly (I assume when people are actively joining at the lower price). I have one new member who is paying $29/month. I'm sure she's be thrilled to be downgraded to $7/month as a founding member but unsure how to do that. Any advice? I feel fine about changing the price since I'm changing the structure of the membership.
