I think my win this week was recognizing that I had done enough. I completed workout 1 but then trained hard 3 days in a row before my martial arts testing, and did a swimming SIT. I was going to do workout 2 today but we have a hike scheduled for tomorrow and I rested. It was much needed. In the past I would’ve pushed through and forced a workout where maybe I didn’t need one. I’ll have a different schedule next week so looking forward to more strength training.

@April Moor you mentioned you do a combo of strength/hypertrophy. What does that look like for the actual workout? Do you structure your reps for either strength/hypertrophy for alternating days? Or do you do it by exercise within the workout itself?

@April Moor this is so exciting. Just took a look at all the exercises. I’m curious about the benefits of the optional cardio day and if it’s ok to do in between tow weight days or if the rest day should be no activity?

@April Moor got it. Excellent. I sort of like dumbbells better. I feel like I have more control and I don’t need a spotter. There might be some exercises I switch out for barbells or kettlebells just to change it up. I’m going to try the SIT. Cardio is my least favorite thing but I do need it for surfing. I’m going to try the first workout Monday so I have a fresh start 💪🎉
