Bartle Player Type
After completing the "Choose Your Player" module, you had the option to take Bartle's Player Type online test. What did you come out as? Did it surprise you? I'd love to know!

No surprises here. I was an achiever, player, and philanthropist. This is totally me. I prefer to play games with people vs being alone. When I play alone, I prefer to explore and gather.
Module #6 - Early Design ✍🏼

1. Mario...level after level. This gets to be stagnant with no room to explore. 2. Creating your own world where students can have different avenues of being successful. I have modeled my classroom after the World of Warcraft - the middle ages. I enjoy and know this game.
Breaking the Chains ⛓️‍💥
Well done, Apprentice! You've taken your first look at the 'invisible chains' that bind our young adventurers. It can be a sobering sight, can't it? Even a 60-second audit reveals just how much agency has been stolen. But now you see them. And seeing them is the first step to breaking them. After your reflection, what did you come up with? What 'chains' did you identify? Share your findings with the Guild below! ⤵️"

I like to give me students as much choice as possible. There were two big "invisible chains" and one minor one. 1. The common core state standards that I have to cover. 2. How these standards are assessed. These are district common assessments that all 6th graders have to take. They are multiple choice test has to be given. 3. The third is the books that are read. Teachers and a committee decide on the books, but students have forced choice between a handful of noves they get to read.
