Universal Resource Sharing 🫴🏻📃
Hi everyone! So with the group continuing to ramp up and the discussions beginning to build - which I am so proud of - it was brought to my attention we should open up a resource sharing page! So here it is! If you've got some things you've created, cards, quests, theme tips, decoration ideas, etc...let's share them all here! I'll continue to add mine into the Loot Chest but would love to see what everyone is creating! Ready...set...share!

Gamification Apps QnA 💬
Hello adventurers! This is the thread where you can discuss the AI apps from the Loot Chest! - Ask Questions - Identify Errors - Request Apps - Submit Ideas - Whatever else you see fit! Hope you find them useful, they took a lot of planning to build but I believe they are going to be very helpful for all those who dive in! -MasterHeebs ✒️

I'm working very hard on this to no luck yet. Google updated some API Key settings and I can't get mine to talk with theirs. Oof. So frustrating! Hopefully I can find some answer over the next couple of days.
Student Participation
Does anyone have issues with students of various religious backgrounds and not being able to/wanting to participate? If so, how is this handled?

I have not but that is not much coming from me as I do not have very diverse backgrounds or demographics traditionally. I have had Christians/Catholics who are very devout who believed spells/potions/magic could be demonic or satanic so I had 1 on 1 conversations with them and let them see the work and how it works to help ease their worries. Only a few instances, but worked each time when given than 1 on 1 care and attention. Students themselves is a trickier one though - maybe the same approach? A why and how can I adjust/adapt to make it work for you?
New Content Apology 🙃
Hey everyone 👋🏼 I want to apologize for the radio silence and the lack of new content over the past few weeks. As we all know, this time of the school year pulls us in a hundred different directions! Between final exams, my kids' PAT prep, ISPs, ELA transition docs, coaching 3-on-3 hockey, a little bit of wedding planning (😊💍), and prepping for the absolutely biggest event I've ever run on June 1st... my plate has been overflowing. I refuse to push out junk just for the sake of releasing something, so I had to hit pause temporarily. Speaking of June 1st, let me give you a little backstory, because this huge event is actually the subject of our next module: How to End Your Gamification Year! Ten years ago, during my very first true gamification year, my kids asked me, "So how are we ending this? What's the final boss?" I pondered and threw together a crude field day activity where they had to build a water filter in "treacherous" conditions to clean dirty, stagnant pond water. This was to end the Science 8 Fresh and Saltwater Systems. It was a massive hit! Fast forward to today, and that single activity has mutated into an epic 22 stations with over 70 puzzles, riddles, and engineering tasks spanning STEM, religion, phys ed, social studies, science, math, and LA. Since this is the 10th anniversary, I’ve gone a little wild with the planning. It’s officially the single biggest gamification event I’ve ever built, and it’s where all my free time has vanished to. I’ll even be sleeping in my car on the school field the weekend leading up to it just to make sure no one messes with my setup during the night—major nerd alert, I know! 🤓 Last year, CTV News actually came by, so I’ve attached their video clip to give you a taste of the chaos. So, I promise new content is on the way, and I am so incredibly grateful for your patience! The silver lining? When the dust settles and I release this next module, you are going to get EVERYTHING I’ve created for this massive day so you can use it for your own epic year-end events! 😉
