Last week @Ronda Del Boccio invited me to share some of my artwork...and I agreed to do it this week...so if I don't do it today...the week will be GONE... I've been drawing since I could hold a Pencil... Painting since I could move a Paint Brush across canvas... I Owe all of this to Momma & Daddy who gave me the FREEDOM to EXPRESS my "INTUITIVE GENIUS"...a GENIUS We all have but many refuse and some will try to deny... With a Momma who could draw...paint...make crafts...pottery...sculpt...dance...sew...knit and...sAng like Mahalia Jackson and Aretha Franklin... With a Dad who could Croon like Nat King Cole singing "Chestnut's Roasting on an Open Fire" but was an avid photographer...who could draw and paint too INSPIRATION was my Daily ADD-Venture...because it was part of the fabric and culture of my FAM... Some years ago a Television anchor challenged me to do a series of pen & ink drawings out of my imagination and so I did. The Pen & Ink drawing you're looking at me hold up is from that series in my JAZZ Collection... I've Created this image called JAM SESSION which is inspired by Jazz and the Mystical Images Created around Music...Jazz and the other worldly flow of how I've portrayed the Soundz of MuZak in my work over the past 30 years... I am in challenge in the Oracle Cards Magic community challenge to create 3 cohesive cards around shadow work. Here's my post: _______ I hope you love these cards. Creator note: I developed the deck concept, card aesthetic, and guidebook descriptions myself, without AI. I used MJ for the art. The ONLY reason I am pointing this out is as a reminder that our own wisdom is always available to us. Deck name: Moon Shadow Deck: Wisdom from our Shadowy Depths First image - card back (because I just had to, even though Katya didn't specify it in the side quest!) 2nd image - Moon Dark | Face Your Truth Guidebook: The Moon has no light of its own. It can only reflect the light shining from the Sun. Without reflected light, we only see the stars. Thus, you must carry your own light and face the truth of who you are. It need not frighten you. When you drew this card, your invitation is to see yourself in your own light, not in what anyone else reflects back to you. 3rd card - Void of Course | Strategic Rest Guidebook: When the Moon is Void of Course, it is in a liminal space between astrological signs. The Moon is connected with our emotions. During a void, is in airplane mode, neither sending nor receiving any signal. When the Moon is offline, so are we all. This time may cause feelings of confusion, brain fog, or feeling lost. This is especially true for empaths and Highly Sensitive People (HSPs). Remember, the moon will come back online and the fog will clear. When you draw this card, your invitation is to tuse those void times to rest, recalibrate, practice self-care, and be with yourpets, friends and loved ones. 4th image - Shadow Work | Light the Shadows Guidebook: Shadow only exists because of light. Otherwise, it is just plain darkness. Sometimes, a frightening shape presents itself in the deep shadows. Night and dark arouse primal fears. Light brings clarity, calm, and hope. Shining hte light on the fearful shape shows that what seemed to be a predator is only something ordinary from the environment, like a tree branch. When you draw this card, the invitation is to carry your light and face the shadows, knowing you are not truly alone.
