What’s up Skate Fam! Welcome to the community. Thrilled to have you here. Take a sec to introduce yourself, doesn’t have to be fancy or complicated. Just be yourself. …ill go first. 👋🏽My name is Knejie Allen. I’ve been skating for 10 years. Currently rolling in custom Riedell 3200s w and arius plate and probably some slick wheels (95A+). Im in Kansas City and own a Skate school, SK8SHOT Studios.

Thank you for making this platform available! I've just started watching your videos on Youtube and thank you for that platform too! I'll be 68 years old soon and have always wanted to learn to rollerskate, so I gifted myself new rollerskates, protective gear and skating lessons at The Rink on 87th Street in Chicago. I hope to learn to skate well enough to visit skating rinks in various cities across the US as I enjoy my golden years!
WINNERS 🥇
Ballroom Win in St. Louis 🏆✨ On January 31st, me and @Knejie Allen competed in St. Louis and brought home the WIN! I introduced ballroom and taught Knejie the style about 6 months ago! This shows hard work, dedication and consistency really pays off and not just for him, but for anyone! We’re going back to the finals in November! The energy was unmatched, and we’re so grateful for everyone who continues to support and be part of this growing community. 💛 ⬇️ Make sure to check out the Instagram post for the full video of our performance ! https://www.instagram.com/reel/DUOht_WEaKr/?igsh=MTlsZnB5ZGZhaG1vdA==

I just had my first beginner rollerskating class at The Rink on 87th Street in Chicago three nights ago! It was a 32-mile drive that took about 65 minutes in rush hour traffic (and the poorly-marked entrance was through a dark alley that was hard to spot from the street), but I thought the training was worth it and intend to go again every Thursday evening for at least a couple of months. If you can get to The Rink, I highly recommend it. The instructors and owners were great and helped me buy my first pair of rollerskates and protective gear.
