Alcohol-free drinks
Why do alcohol-free drinks cost a lot more that alcoholic ones? Does not help incentive in the struggle to quit.

@Colette Boyce my favorite is actually very simple.. sparkling water.. I prefer lime flavor with about 1-1.5 oz cherry juice concentrate.. not juice but concentrate.. it’s full flavor, full of nutrients and supports relaxation and sleep. Recently discovered rasasveda.. black ginger flavor with ginger juice and a little club soda.. but that brings us back to cost..?that’s said, it’s still wildly cheaper than how much I would have spent on wine for the weekend …I think it’s important to have something that is interesting to the palate.. and that one has a nice spicy finish that I like.. husbands thinks it tastes like mud.. lol
BioRebalance Restore
My order came in today!! I will be adding it to my protein shake in the morning! I’m 88 days this year alcohol free (not a streak, total - not the greatest number but I’m building!!) I wanted to share a comparison of Sep of last year when I was drinking daily in comparison to today. Even the amount of time I haven’t drank this year has made a significant impact and I’m excited to see how it keeps improving! I kept failing in the past because I didn’t have a meaningful enough “why,” but I’ve found clarity and am so ready for a life where I don’t even think about alcohol anymore. Even though fat loss wasn’t the main reason I wanted to stop alcohol (it was the anxiety, depression, feeling dead inside, etc) it was the first step in a domino effect that has fallen into place ever since.

@Valerie Dowis I will!
Craving vs habit
craving a drink and reaching for a drink out of habit are two separate things. If you are taking steps with nutrition, exercise and spirituality… if you feel the need to have a drink.. take a few breaths and really think if you are craving it or just reaching out of habit.. we tend to be creatures of habit..that little pause can make the difference.
Introduction
Hi I’m Lori I’ve been following Chris for 2 years and am ready to break free of alcohol. I’m tired of insomnia. Fatigue and weight gain. Looking forward to great sleep once again

Finally All the Pieces of the Puzzle
Hi Everyone - I'm Beth and I joined Fit Recovery a few years ago in 2023. Prior to learning about Chris's approach, I focused mostly on the psycho-social aspects of overcoming AUD. I did LOT of work on mindset and was in multiple recovery groups, but none of the groups I was part of addressed the biochemical side of things. Learning how different foods and supplements could help balance my neurotransmitters (and positively impact my mood!) has been so fascinating. For those that haven't yet tried l-glutamine powder under the tongue for cravings - it's a game changer!
