Stop Guessing Assignment as a Pelvic Health PT, Dec 2018
Assignment #1: My biggest takeaway is thinking about what my actual issue is - hearing the 5 pieces he mentioned, I know my biggest problem is lead flow. When I get referrals, most of them covert to patients and once they are in the door, I rarely lose them as a consistent patient. But getting consistent referrals has been a challenge. Assignment #2: My biggest concern/challenge is how to build the right systems - I love a good system but I definitely need guidance of how to make them most efficient within a cash practice setting.
Profit is Created Assignment as a Pelvic Health PT, grad date: Dec 2018
Assignment #1: My biggest takeaway is view sales as a leadership skill - I have much more confidence in my ability to lead than my ability to sell. Assignment #2: My biggest concern/challenge is finding the right wording in those enrollment conversations to not feel like I’m manipulating or trying to convince them of the value.
The Income Illusion Assignment as a Pelvic Health Specialist, grad date: Dec 2018
Assignment #1: my biggest takeaway is recognizing the value I bring to the table and trusting in my ability to learn the business side of things Assignment #2: my biggest concern is not coming off as “salesy” or not genuine, I know sales is important but it is definitely out of my comfort zone
Assignment 2 title: The Cash DPT Rookie as a pelvic health specialist, 8 years out of school
My biggest takeaway: importance of getting out of the mindset of feeling like I’m not qualified enough to run a cash practice My biggest concern: getting over the nerves of presenting myself with enough confidence to express why and how my pricing reflects the value of care they will receive and to get buy in from patients.
Assignment 1
- Where are you from? I grew up in Arlington, Texas and no own a small cash-based PT practice in Grapevine, TX. - What stage is your practice at (financial or # of patients/month)? Very small, I’m only working there one day/week because I am transitioning out of a contract position. So currently seeing 5-6 patients/week. - What are you looking to learn? I want to learn about systems to implement to increase efficiency and productivity while maximizing income potential. I stay home with my kids part time so my goal is to work 2-3 days/week seeing 5-6 patients per day.
