Looking sharp!
New leather trousers!
Leather trousers may not be your thing, but ... If you ever want to give them a go, ClassyAttireUK is a good place to start. These were made to my measurements and fit really well, are lined ... And £120, down from £180. I am in love.

Great fit! What are the care instructions?
Sunday evening
Here is another outfit I built around another of the vintage ties I picked up yesterday. I don't think it is a real Ralph Lauren tie since the logo is actually backwards, but it still looks sharp and I got a great deal on it. I wore a Charles Tyrwhitt tattersall shirt, Ralph Lauren navy blazer, white w/ navy border ps, grey slacks, navy socks, and burgundy tassel loafers to complete the look. The outerwear I donned included a brown leather flatcap, and the same camel overcoat from this morning's OOTD. The piano piece is called "Gavot" (a "dance") and was composed by William Boyce.

1/18/2026 Celebrating The Confession of Saint Peter
Today we celebrate St. Peter’s proclamation that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Once again, the liturgical color is white. Again, I started with a white shirt. Then I chose grey trousers a silk wool blend jacket that honestly is a touch long on me, and an Irish tweed tie. As it was a cold day today, I wore my green trench coat with the green Country Gentlemen fedora that I bought together thirty years ago. I wore a Scottish cashmere scarf as well.

Beautiful coat
Coastal Country
Too windy. Too cloudy. Beach plans officially vetoed by Mother Nature. But quitting on style? That’s not very South Texas of me. So instead, I leaned fully into the South Texas gentleman aesthetic—because if the sun won’t show up, I will. I’ve got my well-loved brown Lucchese cowboy boots on the ground, crisp blue jeans doing what they do best, and a classic black tee holding down the fort under a rich brown corduroy Levi’s pearl snap. Effortlessly cool, with just enough “I know a good taco spot” energy. Topping it off is my wide-brimmed brown Stetson—equal parts shade, swagger, and “yes ma’am.” On the wrist, the Casio G-Shock Mudmaster GG-B100 (the olive green strap, because details matter). Tough enough for the brush, the bar, or whatever South Texas throws my way. Finished the look with a hit of Infrared Spicebomb—because even cloudy days deserve a little heat. All together, it’s an outfit that says I’m ready for anything: a cold beer on the island, a surprise two-step under palm trees, or just standing my ground against coastal wind like a true South Texan should. P. S. If looks as if I’m hanging from an iron-linked steel chain pardon my lovely wife who still hasn’t caught on how to correctly frame a photo.
