A bit of a day
It's been a bit of a day. Fibromyalgia decided to kick my butt today. But I got up. I ate right. I found a way to manage the pain (without painkillers). When I felt a bit better I tidied up. I had mostly recovered this evening so went line dancing. Tomorrow is a gym day which makes me 😊. Good night all. Speak tomorrow.

I feel for you. My dad has Fibromyalgia and I know how it serves him. You still got on with it and you still had wins. Fantastic 🔥💪
Feel the burn 🔥
Got that moment in the gym tonight doing dumbbell lunges when I thought “I can’t do this, it’s too hard! I’m wobbling all over the place” and then you look in the mirror and remind yourself that you don’t like the way you look and that’s why you are doing this and you get a burst of energy and finish the set 💪 Had another moment later on doing wall sits and then my two kids (teenagers) come over to join me and do the rest of my routine with me 🧑‍🧒‍🧒🥰

40 mile road bike ride done 🚴‍♀️
Today’s 40-mile ride was one of those that teaches you more than you expect. I thought I’d prepared well with a carb-heavy lunch, but I didn’t factor in the fact that breakfast was just a protein shake. In hindsight, I definitely should’ve had something more substantial to set me up properly for the day. That said, the ride itself started beautifully. Heading into Derbyshire never disappoints, and the views absolutely delivered. Rolling through to Surprise View, I was treated to stunning panoramas across the valley, looking out over Hope Valley and Hathersage — honestly breathtaking. The route carried me through Grindleford, Calver and Baslow before I stopped about 18 miles in at Chatsworth House to refuel. That stop was much needed - yoghurt, banana, flapjack, and even a sausage roll. Feeling recharged, I set off again… but this is where things got tough. I ran out of fluids just as I hit a brutal 2km climb — 213m of vertical ascent, two hairpin bends, and every bit as vicious as people say. It was a proper thug of a hill. I gave it everything, but it got the better of me. I had to stop near the top and ended up walking around the bends. Even that felt like a huge effort. At the very top, I found a bench and just sat there, completely spent. For a moment, I felt defeated. Then I checked my route and realised I was only halfway - and the second half was completely unknown. That hit hard. I could feel the emotions bubbling up. But then something shifted. I thought about you guys — how you’d be cheering me on — and it gave me the push I needed. I took a breath, gave myself a bit of time, and made a call: adapt. I replanned the route home. Picked something more familiar, something manageable — just one more climb about 2 miles from home. Honestly, it was the best decision I made all day. That mental and emotional pivot changed everything. I was still out of food and fluids, but I slowed things down, listened to my body, and just kept moving forward. And I made it home.

That is fantastic. You kept going. You are fabulous 🔥💪
Good morning
Morning guys, Just catching up as my phone crashed and wiped everything. Last few days I have been trying to log back on to everything and find all my contacts. Nightmare!! I have had a good few days. Keeping up with the good habits that I have built. Even managed to keep away from Easter eggs. Have a fabulous day everyone ☀️☀️☀️
Milk
@Jamie Bigg I saw on your IG that you have oat milk in your latte instead of regular cows milk. What is your reason if you don't mind me asking? Is it for health benefits and are we missing out? I always have regular milk for the higher protein (could do with my own cow in the garden at this point with adding it to protein shakes too 😅). Does anyone else have different milks? Thoughts 💭
