From the lens I’m viewing things through, although I’ve gone on a hiatus from here for a bit, the action of me having joined has more than paid for itself in full. There is no way I’m the only one here that joined half skeptical/ half cynical/ half “sorta believing,” so I’m going to say this: keep going. Get uncomfortable. Plow through the mental discomfort. You may have been brought up with all kinds of ass backwards counterproductive ways of doing and not doing / beliefs / etc. I don’t think I’ve quote “figured it all out,” heck, I’m 28, however, I’ve gained more clarity on how I’m moving forward in my life. I will be back soon to complete the trainings, due to the fact that in a weird roundabout way I’ve realized that, yeah, funnels make sense in my “journey.” With all that being said: thanks Brett💪 despite the little to no interaction we’ve had, your work has forever impacted my journeys course. I’m not even trying to to hype you up when I say that: I say that in a “1s and 0s” / cause and effect / “dominoes effect” kind of a way, seriously man, thanks!💪🔥

I personally resonate with all 3 flavors, I guess at different times for different reasons lol

@Luke McCarthy We’re going to make it in one piece
@Dani Deuter awesome job title ! Lol
Self growth read!
One of the books I saw Brett mention “The Compound Effect” in my opinion is very solid! The ideas and the way they are stitched together are easily that of over 100 books I’ve read in the last year. So for anyone that maybe looking to expand their mind, in my opinion, this one is a solid read!

@Cinthia Racicot-hamelin that is correct! I’ll add this: I would’ve been extremely skeptical of the ideas within this very book had it been my first ever read. In fact, I feel that towards every single book I’ve read, meaning: If the book “Ikigai” had been my first book: I would’ve had been extremely skeptical If the book “Influence” had been my first book: I would’ve had been extremely skeptical If the book “Attached” had been my first book: I would’ve had been extremely skeptical If the book “Born a Crime” had been my first book: I would’ve had been extremely skeptical It’s when I reflect on ALL the books I’ve read and think to myself “wait a minute…there are massive amounts of similarities between what all these authors are saying…do I SERIOUSLY think they are all conspiring together to just sell books?” That was a mental unlock for me❤️💪

You're giving yourself a headache for no good reason
For those of you who are just starting out on your journey it is natural to want a quick fix. But here's the thing... Every time you try, you just end up stressed and feeling stuck. It's like you're playing a game but can't score any points, and you're left wondering... "Why's everyone else getting it, but not me?" Your brain's like a computer. Expecting an immediate answer without the right info (input) is like expecting a game to play without inserting the disc. It's as if you're trying to complete a puzzle without ever glancing at the picture on the box. Do you see how much more difficult this makes things? It's time to rethink your approach. Firstly, give your brain the right 'inputs'. Dive into books, ask questions, learn. This is the treasure hunt part, and it's the most exciting bit! Once you've armed yourself with the right knowledge, that's when the magic happens. Answers will start popping up left and right. You see, once you have all of the right inputs, your brain does this wonderful thing where it sorts them all, analyses them all and gives you the solutions to your problems effortlessly. It's incredible really. With no effort at all, you can solve your online business problems, you can make money online, you can do whatever you want but you must first give your brain data. No input = no output. It's really that simple. Don't doubt yourself. Everyone's figuring things out at their own pace. You're just as smart and capable as anyone else. Stick to the process of gathering the right 'input' and watch as the results (output) follow. Try and force your brain to come up with the answers to your problems when it simply doesn't have the data to do so and all you'll get is a headache for no good reason. Hell, you even start to refer to yourself as a procrastinator. Hope this makes sense and helps some of you. Drop comments below, what questions are you trying to come up with the answer to right now? More importantly, where are you getting data from to answer those questions?

I became aware of this phenomena within my thinking in the last year! I’ve been slowly getting better and better at working towards a way of thinking that limits that “quick rushed” thinking and boost my more “open-explore-don’t forced it” thinking. Game changer. However, due to me primarily having had most of my thinking run on “fixed” mindset for most of my 28 years on this blue ball, I still, from time to time, seem to “switch back” to fixed thinking without realizing it, for any given amount of reasons. I have been getting better at becoming self aware of that switch faster and faster. When I first began making the conscious shift to thinking in a “growth mindset” way, it could be several hours before I realized “oh shit, I’m thinking in fixed mode right now, no wonder I’m stressing out and expecting to figure things out with no new knowledge!” Now, I’ve been able to get it down between sometimes 1 min to 30 min, primarily from fasting ! In other words (for anyone reading this) fasting for me, has helped with meta cognition. The best part: the carry-over of my thinking to when I’m not fasting. It does take me longer to consciously snap out of “fixed” mindset when I’m not fasting, but that too has progressed over time.

@Brett Dev it’s extremely eye opening! To me, all of these ideas about human nature we are tossing around have been simultaneously empowering and terrifying to me all at once. To my belief, am I in control of my life? Yes…but not as much as I once thought! With the new found self awareness, can I work on gaining more conscious control of my actions, so that I can live a more intentional life as opposed to being driven on “auto pilot?” It appears that way. Now, I can be “gentle” on myself when “autopilot” tries to force its way onto me ! On dopamine: I’m fascinated by just how different my “lense” through which I view the world can be “influenced” when I’m calm/relaxed vs stimulated/“dopamined.” I can understand how nothing I’ve said might make any sense to some, because well, I know for a fact it would not have, to me. That’s partly what I find terrifying. Terrifying more in the sense of “hey you, person that wants more out of life but doesn’t believe in themselves: you have more power within you than you can even imagine!” rather than “oh, I’m terrified because they don’t think like me!” 💪🧠
