Serious problems with "Render in Place" Cubase Pro 14
I do have serious problems with „Render in Place“ within CUBASE Pro 14. Trying „Render in Place“ on a track with a VSTi results in crackling, distortion and finally in interrupting of the rendered audio signal (I always render the dry track without any plugins and always as a seperate track). Another issue occures rendering a track of a VSTi with a long decay (e.g. gong, crashcymbal etc) or a longer attack (e.g. timpanis crescendo, cymbals crescendo etc.). Cubase always renders the starting point of the signal but cuts the decay or the attack of the instrument after approx. 1sec, although a 5sec decaytime is given within the RiP-settings. Do i something wrong? Are this known issues? Does anyone else notice those problems?

Hi Alex, thank you for your reply. I work on a PC, i9-9700 CPU (a rather old version, i know), 24GB RAM, W11 Pro, 1TB SSD for the system. In Cubase 13 everything worked well.

Hi community, my name is Albert, 76 years old, a retired engineer for measurement and controlling, living in Vienna (Austria). I make music for more than 50 years, just for fun but with the intention to get the best out of my compositions and arrangements. I´m working with Cubase since its beginings, following one of the first sequencers from Steinberg , the "TwentyFour". Today i have Cubase Pro 14 and enjoy all the wonderful tools, Cubase is offering. I like to compose music in any genre, orchestral/filmusic, popsongs, ambientmusic etc. without knowing musictheory or the art of composing in depth. I want to improve my music to my ear´s perfectness especially in mixing and mastering.

@Antonio Vozmediano Alcalá Hi Antonio, thank you for your warm welcome. I´ll try soundgym. It´s always a good way to train your ears, especially at my age.
