Client Dinner
On Tuesday, November 4, I hosted my first client appreciation dinner. What an amazing experience! Not realizing all the preparation that went into this, time flew by. We had room for 30 people and 23 attended. I think that was a great showing, especially for my first time doing this. The restaurant where I held the event was excellent and we received many compliments from the clients about the restaurant. I've been stepping out of my comfort zone and contacting them via text, email, and phone calls to find out what they liked and disliked about the presentation. Also trying to get them to become wealth management clients. A couple of them are definitely interested but we 're waiting for them to take the next step. I'm trying to be respectful and not bombard them with contacting them, but I want to stay top of mind, so they don't forget, especially with the holidays right around the corner. It was a great experience, and I see the benefit to doing this again. I need to see some results to offset the cost of this dinner. Thank you for your support during our meetings when I was talking about this event.

Welcome!
Question
Not quite sure how to word this question, hopefully it’ll make sense. Observations—I find it interesting that adults need just as much praise and celebration as children. I’m very much included-especially by people who I know are being genuine. Why is this? I know Ben Hardy talks about it in his books and I journal my wins of the day every night before bed. I think that my practice of journaling wins and transformations has helped me grow in abundance. In which does Dr Hardy talk about this? Where else can I read or learn about it.

@Wendi Bergin I've observed in my counseling practice that genuine praise deeply nourishes adults, just as it does children. For many, words of appreciation are their primary love language, a concept beautifully outlined in The 5 Love Languages by Dr. Gary Chapman.
When You Stop Forcing the Next Chapter, It Writes Itself
Ever felt like the universe was against you - even when you were trying your best to go all-in on your goals? That was me 2 years ago — until the Universe punk’d me in the funniest way possible. After Chinese New Year 2023, my wife and I decided it was time to start a new life. We had just left a toxic family environment, and we could both feel it - the next chapter was calling. During the pandemic, we’d spent years studying Japanese - imperfectly but passionately. Because I thought of myself as a modern day Samurai, I told her: Let’s move to a Japanese community right here in Malaysia. A fresh start. A new identity. A place that matched who we were becoming. But the universe had other plans. We searched high and low for a good place in the Japanese community. To the Chinese, feng shui is everything - and we wanted a home that felt aligned energetically. We kept saying, “Our home is an extension of our consciousness.” Practicing our affirmations as though we could manifest our next home from thin air. So we drove four hours back and forth, again and again — packing, scouting, unpacking. Every house we viewed felt wrong. The vibes didn’t align. Nothing clicked. Alignment can look like rejection — until hindsight kicks in. The agents were running out of listings, and we were running out of hope. And then one agent said seven words that changed everything. Finally, one agent - out of pity, maybe - said, “Why don’t you try the nearby Korean community?” We hesitated. We don’t speak Korean. It wasn’t our first choice. Why couldn’t the universe just give us what we wanted? Still, we gave it a try. And again… no vibe. We were about to drive back, defeated — when we learned that a distant relative lived there. She offered to help and connected us with someone she knew from the developer. That led to a quick introduction — and suddenly, we were standing inside a messy, cat-infested house with the landlord and his outgoing tenant still there. For some reason, I turned to my wife and said,

This is so good, @Khai Ng So when you stop forcing the next chapter, life finishes your sentences for you. What are the odds you end up with a Japanese language school teacher as a neighbour?
I love this group - here is my story (and a miracle win) 💜
Hello all! I have loved being a part of this group and observing the wins as well as the authenticity when we share where we get stuck or scared and receive so much love and support from everyone! I love learning so much I signed up for too many classes this fall (several for counseling CEU's plus a vigorous AI implantation system) and am way behind in a lot of things so I haven't been active here. I also need to keep an eye on my group and clients and local networking groups that also have places to post. Scaling is supposed to be about letting go of the 80% and somehow I keep adding things! Also most of you know that there was a school shooting in my small town and since I am part of a non- profit that gives students 10 free counseling sessions (started 5 years ago) unfortunately and fortunately I have been able to be there to support teens and families through this traumatic event. Also, I had an amazing trip to visit my daughter in Korea and both kids are launched and settling in as my husband is SLOWLY building his consulting business. Perhaps he will have some income before the end of the year? Fortunately he was good at setting money aside when he was working corporate so we have been able to rely on savings... for a year and now retirement funds (going on . Not ideal but he is going on month 17 and has some good potential clients... it will only take a few and he will be set and wants to retire in a few years. So yes I shared in last Friday's call that I had some miracle breakthroughs in 2 important areas in my life. Overall I have been focused on family so... I have been saying I "10'x'd my quality time with family". And in the meantime, I was not focused on growing my business for several years of other priorities and including my mom with a terminal illness, etc, etc. I found myself in over $100k of debt and was at some level at peace about it because I knew I could pay it back but other times I was incredulous at how in the heck that happened! I was always smart with money when I was younger and never had any debt including student loans until I started down the rabbit hole of the coaching industry over 12 years ago and then always had some lingering around.

@Michelle Wilson Thank you for your vulnerability and sharing your story and the 21-Day Elevate to Manifest Miracles. You reminded me that 10x applies not just to income, but to quality time with family as well.🏁✅
