What Do You Want to Know About Reactivity?
The subject of reactivity is something that comes up so frequently. What are your biggest questions?

I find all of this so interesting, I have a border collie so sheโ€™s definitely a watcher and meant to be on guard but sometimes she way more guarded then others and I also think her reactivity is mainly fear based due to a lack of confidence so weโ€™re working on that now. But also sometimes I think sheโ€™s going to react and doesnโ€™t and vice versa, itโ€™s just bizarre to me.
Day 225: Food Games and Play
Hey peeps! It's good to be back ๐Ÿ˜ƒHeraklion was good but to be honest I was very glad to get back yesterday. I am done with cities after a few days - so much noise and I get claustrophobic after a while ๐Ÿ˜‚ Aster went bananas to see me which was lovely. I was keen to get training again today so we did some food chase games to keep up with the PWPC lot and also did the 2 bowls game again 'cause it gives me so much joy ๐Ÿ˜ Both A and I did great with the games. Islay has always been a pushy eater so she's great, Aster could be more so, so I was pleased with this session. I also got her holee roller out and we had this absolutely amazing play session?! I mean... look at that tugging and the bringing back for more! I really enjoyed it and I'm glad I stopped it when i did, it had a great rhythm to it and I felt like I stopped just before any energy drop. Islay is star of the 2 bowls session though - look at her go! I increased the distance a LOT just to see what would happen. It got to 7m I think and she was still on it, despite a couple of mad spaniel moments where her arousal was higher than her ability to think but she picked it up again. Good girls! https://youtu.be/Fl_DotEjSWI?si=ezvJSMDZERsuMo7z https://youtube.com/shorts/oGNP6ZOPE00?si=o77DJnK0hC8xmzL3

Day 2: walk/street work/obedience
I didn't get a chance to get on and post yesterday but we did get out for a nice walk and some simple obedience. It was a long day at work so I was a little more tired and reluctant to get out but we found the motivation and got along. Started with just some quick tune-ups just to make sure Maisy was focused and she did pretty great, again really proud of the progress were making since i've been trying to take this training more serious. i could tell our engagement still definitely needs some work as when we started to do some street work towards the end of our walk (about 20-30 mins) she lost focus and engagement, and was a little more distracted than usual by some of the cars going by and had a bit of a barking fit at a pass biker who crept up behind and may have spooked us. All in all, good day though!
