What is your best advice for writing research papers?
I know all of us come from different backgrounds and education systems. We've all received different training. If you've already published, please share the one thing that helps you write your papers. If you're still about to write or are currently writing, please do share what you're struggling with. For me, I develop a detailed outline for my paper first, which includes my novelty statement, key messages, and detailed bullet points for each section. Once I'm happy with this structure, I start to write the full paper.

i am writing about the expectation confirmation theory (ECT) survey items in educational research. i have done database searching on WoS and Scopus. initial title and abstract filtering also competed. Now I am reading full text to find the items and collecting the items. but i am not sure what reports i should generate with this data to make it a better research. would appreciate any advice 😊 thanks

@Dawid Hanak i am trying to do a scoping review to collect and review ECT items found in educational research.
It's OK to take a day off [I did so yesteday!]
Nobody will tell you this directly, but it’s OK to take a day off (the world won’t end if you don’t complete this paper today). Here is my honest confession that I only was able to admit to myself recently. I used to put my job above anything else in my life: my health, my family, my purpose. This only lead to: - continuous exhaustion - anxiety and stress - general unhappiness from life I’d have hoped this was just me but from what I hear it’s very typical in our jobs. It doesn’t need to be this way. You can take time off. You can prioritise your life. You can find the balance in your purpose. When was the last time you took a day off?
