OpenAI Sora
So Sora got announced yesterday and it looks absolutely insane. It's a video generation model, that turns prompts into realistic videos. And the results... are incredible. Here's an example from Sam Altman's X account: https://twitter.com/sama/status/1758219575882301608?t=DIdqX_qDc3I-izJ3V27Riw&s=19 Here's some further info on the official page: https://openai.com/sora

Having a Bit of Trouble Getting Started
I know I'm making some progress learning Python but it seems that there are so many courses available. I get started on one of them and I seem to get lost and then pick up with another beginners course. Maybe its me but can anyone recommend a course that might be easier to stick with or maybe there is some study methods that you feel might help? Thanks for your help.

I can totally relate, self-learning can be extremely difficult without a structured plan. There are so many courses out there it can be difficult to decide which one is best. What worked for me was Datacamp (there are other sites like this too). Because it has a structured tracks that you can follow depending on your interests. They give you the theory through video and then you can practice what you learnt through exercises and projects. You can also consolidate your learning through quizzes that cover the topics you've learnt to date. You do have to pay for it, but if you go for the annual plan it's insane value for money. I vouch for it because its what gave me the necessary foundational skills in Python. All the best!

First LLM Chatbot
Worked my way through some of the third module and it got me excited about langchain and its capabilities. I made a chatbot which was trained on parsed data from a book written entirely in Arabic and manages to summarise the key points and learnings from each chapter accurately in the English language. Something I didn't even think was possible a year ago!

Will be sharing it**
Motivation!
Hi all! I just wanted to share this clip from a Lex Fridman podcast with Andrej Karpathy, (former Sr Director of Ai at Tesla and the current Director at OpenAI). It is probably advice most of us have heard before, but I believe it to be worth reiterating. Key Takeaways: - Master the basics - Focus on "how much to do" rather than "what to do" (10,000 hour rule) - Teach! Andrej also has a great video building a GPT from the ground up for those interested.
