Luckily I reached out to a fellow who does PDR use to come by our shop gave me some pointers. Helped a lot keep At it guys testing our patience ! NO BUFF !

@Dean Berman thank you so much for that explanation that was great ‘! You nailed it sir . That dang ring !! It’s a 2015 dodge ram hood steel. This metal is hard but you nailed it definitely gonna try all that tomorrow’. Your Tutorial on the light explanation has helped thank you.

Took care of the biggest dent of the golf 8 today As you can imagine it was waay overstretched Combined lots of techniques on this one Most useful was probably the one from @Dean Berman from the YouTube video of the Texas hail dent to help stabilise the dent Not perfect but it was P2P since the beginning and it is now in a great position for a finishing filler, it did oil can a bit during the repair but I managed to keep it controlled thanks to the stabilising technique and now it is stable It looks ugly because I had to shrink it in the end but I don't have a PDR shrinker and the dent spotter is way too powerful it burns the paint instantly I'm pretty happy with the result I think other body men will feel me

Great job man!
Possible job
2024 Honda Pilot. It’s hard to get a good idea from the picture of the damage so I’m seeing it in person this weekend. I think there might be access through the taillight or something underneath the trim. Maybe cold glue to bring up the deepest part then push. What would you do to start it?

@Steven Arzapalo got you so let me ask you a question so I have a elimadent light which I love. But what I notice yesterday I was trying to finish with the natural light and fluorescent light bulbs on the ceiling made it easier to catch the highs. You ever done anything like that ?
FLEX VS FORCE ⚔️
When a technician begins to generate unintended high spots, it is almost always a result of mismanaged energy input into a restricted system. Let’s break that down. ⚙️ The Problem: You are introducing energy (tool pressure) into a panel that is not free to respond. Why? Because of: - Crown compression zones - Residual tension rings - Locked structural features - Improper load distribution 🔬 What Happens Mechanically: When energy is introduced into a restricted system: - The panel cannot displace downward or laterally - Energy redirects vertically - Result = localized high spot formation 📉 This is NOT a pushing problem. This is a system preparation problem. 🧭 Correct Approach (Energy Flow Model): 1. Diagnose BEFORE input - Identify restriction zones - Map tension/compression relationships 2. Restore movement pathways - Knockdown crowns (compression relief) - Blend to distribute energy - Introduce lateral tension when needed 3. Reintroduce controlled energy - Small amplitude pushes - Consistent rhythm (Flex & Rhythm principle) - Pattern-based movement ⚔️ Key Principle: You are not applying force to move metal. You are introducing energy into a system that must be capable of receiving it. 🧠 Final Thought: High spots are not mistakes. They are diagnostic signals that: - The system is locked - The sequence is wrong - Or the technician is forcing outcome instead of managing process Now WORK HARD and GO BE GREAT! 🇺🇸🫡🤜🤛😎🤙

So seems like a lot of us are fighting the same battle something I’m really trying to do is move my head more. Small Movements setting up my light better. My precision has been good getting that death ring is brutal lol. Something I hear a lot is the phrase the plain of the panel can someone be more specific on that please.!
