@Aislynn Griffin wow good job with having a draft! If I recall right - he said 20k - 50k words is ideal. 🙂

@Peggy Grant THANK YOU!! So many golden nuggets in your feedback! Your input helps confirm things I’ve been thinking as well - to decide who I’m writing to…leaders teachers etc and do some research on what’s a broader market. My story was as a leader so I’m leaning that direction. I totally agree about working on physical + spiritual - that’s soooo right on. I’ve had to do both for sure. I was actually pensive about writing on this topic because I’m not a doctor, but as long as I put legal qualifiers in there and note that my story isn’t representative of everyone it seems like it’ll be ok. In my case, Gods voice & love healed suicidal thoughts and depression but many years later I started. Ketogenic diet and it took my happiness and health to a whole other level. Somehow I’ll weave it in, maybe with other stories of others who did “outside in” first etc. Not totally sure 🤔😁 Thanks again for the thoughtful response - it is soooooo helpful! 🙌💥🙌
Big win after day 1 author bootcamp! 🥳
I’ve finally settled on a book topic…I’m soooo relieved 😅 I started the bootcamp with a lot of uncertainty because I have so many interests. But after feeding months of brainstorms, my personal background, and the bootcamp questions into Gemini (and also brainstorming with my wonderful wife, and Father-God in the secret place), I’ve chosen a topic I have peace about….. It’s my testimony related to overcoming debilitating panic attacks through various physical, mental and spiritual pursuits - I’m so excited! I knew I had a personal testimony book inside me, I was just never confident of the angle to take. Now, on to defining the persona - probably makes sense to write to my past self but I’m going to hit various angles just to be sure! I’m so appreciative of this workshop @Ray Edwards and team! 🙌✝️🔥

My biggest takeaway is that a book is actually a great place to start at the beginning of a customer journey / nurturing path. I wasn’t sure about this at first - but during the day 1 workshop and the worksheet content (especially that little flywheel picture) really nailed it home! Appreciating this bootcamp very much! 🔥✝️🔥
Brand Building Update
Howdy y’all. It’s been crazy around here as I have a lot going on. I’ll be sharing more about that later this week. Here’s the update you’ve been waiting for… Ray what’s happening with you building this "Brand" I keep hearing about? Here are some facts. The “new brand” in question is my new “author brand” that I am building as I begin writing and publishing fiction. Novels, to be exact. (Some have asked, “Ray, isn’t sales copy mostly fiction?” … to which I answer, “Not if you do it right.” Back to my under-construction “Author Brand”… I’m planning to write in several different genres (detective, thrillers, supernatural, historical… fact is I have plans to write in 12 different genres each with each genre “sub-brand” consisting of one or more series, each series including anywhere from 12 to 24 books each). Does that sound crazy? It’s not. It’s very doable inside of a year, and I have specific reasons for planning for so many titles… And it has to do with making more money. More on that next time. My “author brand” is under my own name (Ray Edwards) right now… but that’s open for debate This is a question that is relevant to all of us. Do we name the brand after ourselves? “Ray Edwards, Inc.” Or do we give it a specialized “brand name“? (For example, “Monster Breath Books”). The fact is that I often do I “get the cart before the horse”, and began I did it this time (with y’all watching. As Popeyes would say, “How humilgratin’ …’”) So I started building the brand before I actually thought it all through. Why? It’s in my nature to get started quickly and then have to clean up the mess I just made. So… to give you an idea… I already have this massive brand built as a direct response copywriter and copywriting teacher. That’s what happens at RayEdwards.com. And the “perfect advice” would be to use a pen name (like “Byron Willowby” or even “Jack Slade”) so I can avoid any confusion. And I will probably do that (probably soon, because the longer I wait to fix it, the more of a “mess” I make. (That means the more URLs, redirects, graphics, etc. I have to fix or change.)

Wow, the YouTube video buried in here is solid gold! Identity shifts, AI-powered storytelling & writing processes...amazing! Just as insightful as the workshop you & David ran recently. Thanks for sharing this Ray!
