START HERE: Stay Booked Out For Weeks With Profitable Jobs
Welcome to OWNR OPS 🤝 If you own a land clearing or forestry business and you want to stay booked out weeks in advance with profitable jobs using simple systems, not shiny objects, you’re in the right place. This group and trainings are built around my simple operating system - Revamp your pricing so you generate profit on every job - Make the phone ring consistently with a simple 3‑Step Lead Engine - Track a simple weekly scorecard so you know if you’re winning or losing and exactly what to fix next I use this same playbook in my own $1.4M land clearing / forestry business and it’s what guys like Colby used to go from roughly $400k to $850k while staying 4–8 weeks booked out. Step 1 – Introduce yourself (do this now) Comment below with: - Your name - Where you’re based - What kind of work you do now (land clearing, forestry, fire mitigation, etc.) - How many weeks you’re currently booked out - Use the photo template I posted Step 2 – Unlock the Free Kickstarter Training Go to the Classroom tab and follow the steps to unlock the “Free Kickstarter Training" Video series module In it, you’ll learn how you can copy the simple operating system behind my 7 figure business: - Revamp your pricing so every crew‑day makes profit - Build a 3‑Step Lead Engine (how to make the phone ring) - Use a weekly scorecard to see if you’re winning or losing and what to fix next week Watch these lessons this week so the livestreams & posts inside here actually click. Step 3 – Book Your OPS Onboarding Call If you want my eyes on your numbers and a clear plan to stay booked out weeks in advance with profitable jobs, book an OPS Onboarding call here: 👉 [Book Onboarding Call] On that call we’ll: - Look at your current revenue, backlog, and weeks booked out - Find the biggest bottleneck in your business - See if you’re a fit for OPS Training, my weekly training program for land clearing and forestry owners

Direction
Hello fellow ops, I am in the true beginning stages of starting a business in this field but do have a CDL, truck, and trailer. I am stuck on what to start with whether that be renting equipment fully for now or buying a head and renting just the skid steer or buying a full set up. Any advice or experience from you guys is much appreciated!

@Sebastian Garcia that’s mostly what I was leaning towards then seeing about getting a head first to cut down on the rental fee and following that with the work flow increase getting a skid steer of my own

It’s about the same where I am it’s just a matter of getting the ball rolling first
First On Camera Ad Results: Need Help Interpreting Results
Hi SKOOL Group! Just wanted to share the results from running my first on camera ad with Meta. As I mentioned before, I'm not the most tech savvy, so am unsure how to take the results as far as how they stand with industry standards or what you guys are typically seeing. The ad was ran in North-Central WV, which is more rural than other larger areas, so just wanted to share for if that is necessary for understanding reach potential. Also, let me know if there are any other metrics you guys would like for me to share for better understanding. Thanks for any and all help or advice you guys have! (Yes, I'll do without glasses next time 😂) Overall, I am running this at $50/day. There was a time when I had to shut the ad off for several days because so many leads were coming in at once, I needed time as a solo owner/op to get caught up. While many of the leads were "tire kickers", several converted to quotes/jobs, including two that were quite large. One lead was a 4 day job for $12,500 that has been completed with a happy customer, while another has placed a deposit to begin 6/15 when i return from vacation for $13,700. To summarize, work has been BUSY!!! Moving through jobs at a good pace, 275xe and Shearex are powering through, and feedback has been fabulous from customers. Full steam ahead from here!

Did you start with running your ads at $50 a day or start lower and build up to it?

Awesome I appreciate the response 🫡
Equipment purchase decision for anyone getting ready to pull the trigger.
Beyond considering which equipment dealer has the largest presence and best service, (more physical shops the better) check if they have mobile mech/techs they can send to you in the field. I bought CAT (4 CAT locations within 1.5 hours of home base, a fifth is 2.5 hours, and a major distribution warehouse full of parts in town), I've had a couple hydraulic issues that were handled same day in the field. Just had another (hydraulic leak somewhere in the tub) and called my tech directly and he's coming at 0600 tomorrow. I lucked out and of them lives 10 minutes from home base. Mulching is hard on machines and down time slaughters productivity. Lost an hour today, worst case is losing tomorrow. Best case is its another O-ring blew out and I'll be up and back working by 0800. I was considering ASV (only on shop within 6 hour drive) and Deere (Two construction shops, 1 and 3 hours away), but the repair network at CAT made it an easy choice.

I had thought about the same situation I would be in and would either go with CAT or Kubota in my area just haven’t been able to decide on which direction to go I have run a ton of Kubota excavators and know they are unmatched in the mini ex market but not too sure of how their skid steers are.
