Just Finished My First Responsive Landing Page Feedback Welcome!
Hey everyone 👋I’ve been practicing building responsive layouts using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and I just wrapped up a simple landing page project. My focus was on clean structure, mobile responsiveness, and smooth transitions. Would love some feedback from you all especially on the layout, spacing, or any improvements I can make before moving on to my next project. Thanks in advance! 🙌 #FrontendDevelopment #CodeReview #LearningInPublic
This is awesome @Michael Heck , looking forward to your next one!!
What day in the week do you prefer a Q&A session with me?
Hey all, Harry here 👋 Had a question, we want to run some Q&A sessions for everyone interested in Frontend, Freelancing, AI etc or just anything you're curious on in the industry/tech directly with me. What days would suit you best? Kindest regards, Harry Ashton

Ubuntu new password 'issue' for beginners
hey everyone! I just spent 30 mins trying to figure out why wsl ubuntu on powershell was not responding to the keyboard as I was typing my new password with newly downloaded software on a new laptop.... and after some digging, I'm happy to report that it's NOT A BUG, IT'S A FEATURE. 😆 Hope that helps! Why can't I type a new password after I've entered the "passwd" command? - Ask Ubuntu
Haha yes! 😂 That one gets everyone at least once! It’s such a weird moment, you’re sitting there thinking your keyboard’s broken or the install froze, when really it’s just Ubuntu being extra cautious and hiding your keystrokes for security. Nice job digging into it and figuring it out though that’s exactly the kind of persistence that’ll serve you well as a dev. Every time you troubleshoot something like this, you’re building your debugging instincts. 💪 Appreciate you sharing it here too, it’s the kind of small but super useful reminder that helps everyone down the line!
HTML crash course
I just set up VSC and got started on the first chapter of the course, and I'm puzzled visual demonstration portion at the end of the video, after just learning about HTML elements. Im a bit overwhelmed by all the terminologies being used and not a lot of explanation as to why things are done this way, why the use of "<>", and why the block of code is structured the way it is to produce the output, I've been following along in VSC but it's hard to keep up with some many things being done so quickly
@Kristofe Jackson this is such a good observation and you’re not alone in feeling that way at all. When you’re just getting started, the jump from “what is an element?” to “here’s a block of HTML doing 10 things at once” can feel like being thrown into the deep end. 😅 The goal of that visual demo isn’t for you to understand every tag or symbol right away — it’s more to show you what’s possible once those pieces click. Think of it like seeing the whole puzzle before learning how the pieces fit. Here’s what I’d suggest: ✅ Rewatch that section slowly and pause after each line type it out manually and notice what changes on the screen. ✅ Focus only on the structure for now: <html>, <body>, <h1>, <p>, etc. You’ll understand the why behind them as we go deeper. ✅ Take short notes in plain English (e.g., “This tag tells the browser where the text goes”). And don’t worry about keeping up perfectly everyone goes through this stage. Once you’ve built two or three small pages yourself, those symbols and terms will start making total sense. You’re doing exactly what you should be doing right now: getting your hands messy and learning by doing. 💪 You’ve got this, keep at it! Every single dev you admire started with the same “wait… why does this work?” moment
