I have a good friend about to beta test an AI platform that will: 1. Authenticate if your writing is human 2. Recommend ways to position/sell your book via online platforms like Amazon 3. Down the road identify areas on the rise (example romance is upside down in authors) and work with publishers on content they should to support. To put that in perspective: that’s the same daily power use as New York City and San Diego combined, or the entire energy demand of Switzerland and Portugal together. 😳 😬😵🤯 While this marks incredible progress for AI capability, it also raises urgent questions about sustainability and energy equity. 💡 What’s Happening OpenAI is planning next-generation data centers to support the explosive demand for AI models like ChatGPT. The Texas site alone could consume 20% of the state’s total power capacity. Sam Altman has pointed to nuclear energy as the long-term solution for reliable AI infrastructure — but nuclear plants take years to build. In the short term, renewables, natural gas, and existing grids will have to carry the load. 🌍 Why It Matters AI is no longer just a tech story — it’s an energy story. Why do you think all those AI titans are greasing up government; its to get energy supply. Massive data processing = massive electricity consumption. That means potential stress on water supplies, local ecosystems, and grid stability. And if AI keeps scaling at this pace, our digital acceleration could outgrow our physical infrastructure. The environmental impact is becoming impossible to ignore. As AI reshapes industries, we also have to ask: > How do we make innovation sustainable?
