It Just Hit Me....
ASK Y'ALL!!! I'm literally sitting here during the time that I would be teaching during the grief group that I offered, choosing to pivot so I can F.L.Y. (Coach Riddick) and help people H.E.A.L. Honor their Individuality in their healing process Explore their emotions Assess thier thoughts Let Go of what does not serve them So here we go... For those of you who have had the passing of a loved one greatly impact your life, answer at least 5 of the following questions (based on priority to you) to help me get a feel of what would help me, help you: 1. What has been the hardest part of grieving for you? Are there specific times of day, situations, or triggers that feel particularly difficult? 2. How has your grief changed over time since your loss? Has anything surprised you about the grieving process? 3.Do you feel like people in your life understand what you're going through? What do you wish they knew or understood better? 4.What emotions have come up for you that you didn't expect? How comfortable do you feel expressing difficult emotions like anger, guilt, or relief? 5. Have you found any ways of honoring or staying connected to the person you lost that feel meaningful to you? 6.What would make you feel safe and comfortable in a grief support group? What would make it feel unsafe or uncomfortable? 7.Would you prefer a group focused on a specific type of loss (parent, spouse, child, sibling, friend) or a more general grief group? Why? 8.How structured would you want the group to be? Would you prefer guided discussions with topics, open sharing time, or a mix of both? 9.What practical information or skills would be most helpful? (For example: understanding grief reactions, coping strategies, navigating holidays and anniversaries, supporting children through grief, managing practical tasks) 10.Would you want the group to include educational content, peer support, or both? What balance feels right? 11.How important is it that the group be facilitated by someone with professional training versus someone with lived experience of grief?
DAY 8 Speaking Challenge - Top it Off
🔥 DAY 8 – THE 4th T: TOP IT OFF 🔥 You’ve touched hearts. You’ve taught a clear principle. You’ve tossed a call to action. Now it’s time to TOP IT OFF. Top It Off is your emotional close. It’s how you leave people feeling something they won’t forget. Facts inform. Frameworks equip. But emotion is what seals the moment. Top It Off is not: ❌ A recap of everything you said ❌ A rushed ending ❌ “In conclusion…” energy 😅 Top It Off is: ✔️ A short story ✔️ A powerful quote ✔️ A visual or metaphor ✔️ A moment that lingers It answers one question: “What do I want them to feel as they leave?” HOW TO TOP IT OFF WELL: Your close should: • Echo your opening (bring it full circle) • Reinforce the core message • Stir emotion—hope, courage, urgency, belief Think of it as the last note of a song. If it’s strong, people carry it with them. 🎯 TODAY’S CHALLENGE: MAKE A PLAY In the comments, share how you would TOP IT OFF. Choose ONE: • A short closing story • A quote you’d end with • A visual/metaphor you’d leave them imagining Keep it brief—but meaningful. Remember: People may forget what you said… but they’ll remember how you made them feel. Tomorrow, we land the plane ✈️🔥

@Dwight Riddick it DOES!!!
Help Please!!!
Family, I have a Grief group I offer every month and the last 2 months no one has shown up. I KNOW Suffolk needs it. Here's some details: 1. It's in Suffolk at my office on Wilroy 2. It's $50pp/session once monthly on Thursdays 3. I've shared on Facebook and Instagram, the 2 main platforms I frequent (if you're on Facebook, check out Your Mental Health Matters business page for the videos) 4. I've offered screening surveys to assess best fit 5. Maybe I should offer a free educational session on grief, then run back the paid experience (someone i know recommended)??? Let me know⬇️⬇️⬇️

THANK YOU
This season in my life is teaching me that I don't need to: 1. do a lot 2. know a lot or 3. know a lot of people... to get to where I need to be, but I DO need to: 1. know myself 2. know my assignment and what I bring 3. do what is aligned with purpose and 4. know the people that are supportive of my purpose With that, I say THANK YOU!!! CMI has enhanced my ability to do all of these things and I am GRATEFUL!!! THANK YOU for honoring what I do in meaningful ways. THANK YOU for honoring me. I'm grateful.
