Versace The Dreamer
I spent last night at the ER with my Mom, she was not feeling well. But, thanks God, everything turned up well. So I didn’t work today and took her on running errands. I decided to wear one of my signature scents by the end of the 90’s (launched in 1996 and relaunched in 2010) that contributed to makes me realize (at this time as a collector,) that I used to like a lot of the mens floral fragrances, like: Dolce & Gabbana pour Homme, Carolina Herrera for Men and 212 Men, Cartier Declaration, Estée Lauder Pleasures, Alfred Sung Hei, Claiborne for Men, Wings for Men Giorgio Beverly Hills, and many more. Yes I have always been a fragrance explorer, although there was times in with I married some fragrances for certain amount of time. The Dreamer continues to offer a refined, delightful, fresh and alluring experience. It’s perfect for the heat, it’s inoffensive for casual wear, with average projection and longevity.

Lattafa Asad Bourbon
I just realized I wore this recently and didn’t saw it on my rotation record, but it was there… 😒🤦🏼‍♂️ I try not to repeat fragrances to give some wear to my entire collection. However, I was craving something like it and didn’t overthink it. Previous review:👇🏼 https://www.skool.com/bos/lattafa-asad-bourbon-2?p=7a1d508d

@Antonio Cent I don’t really have usual go-tos anymore. But I guess that Asad Bourbon has all the elements I enjoy in a fragrance. It’s sweet, spicy, boozy, resinous, ambery, rich, deep, mass pleasing, compliments getter, not the common DNA everyone wears, with great performance and longevity. It is just so delightful.
Stepping Away from Fragrantica
And no shade to anyone who still uses it, of course. I’m just personally going to stop using it. It’s been a tremendously helpful site that I used for a while, ever since a friend recommended it to me, and I’m glad i had it at all, i would never have mastered and memorized so many formulas and notes without it, but as of now, i’m going to be deleting my account and switching to something new. The main reasons stem from a few things, the main one being that I feel like a huge portion of the community is quite toxic, and another really kind of… unserious if you understand what i mean? There’s nothing wrong with humor and fun, perfume enthusiasts shouldn’t be a bunch of snobby stiffs 😭, but it feels like there’s more trolling and juvenile internet humor that’s taking it over. Also i don’t think the note breakdowns are all that accurate. They’re not off the walls wrong, but because the notes are voted by community and put in, without any real verification on accuracy, it can end up risking misinformation or getting the wrong thing, which I call the Wikipedia risk. If you want a good example of this, go to the note breakdown for Club de Nuit Bling. Enough said. Another reason as to why I’m not using this, and I say this carefully, and you’ll see why… is because of their stances. Now, I have no issue with people having their own political beliefs, including ones I might not align with, or ones that I do. Everyone does, we all have our own agreements and disagreements, and it’s fine. But Fragrantica, as well as their admins and users have been getting a bit politically outspoken, and those statements are mixing into the community on there. Not even just that, they’ve began to block or filter out opinions they don’t like or agree with. Now while I don’t entirely like the idea of just unchecked political opinions being strewn about, on either side, if you’re going to start suppressing one side of opinions, do so to the other side. Politics do not belong in a hobby like this. Period.

I only use Fragantica as a quick reference of fragrances, similar DNA’s, etc. I have never paid attention to their community. Although it’s the most common fragrance platform, more than 60 of my fragrances do not appear on their database. I tried Parfumo and Perfumist Apps for collection inventory and records of my wearing, but they neither have all the fragrance I have on their database. So far, the App I’m loving for those purposes only is Aromoshelf. The fragrances I haven’t found, are quickly added by my requests, and all my fragrances are on their database. My only interaction with that community is my SOTD postings that are also my record of wearing. My only real engagement with a fragrance community is with BOS. 🤓🫶🏼

SOTD: Mysterium by Paris Corner 25/12/2025
Slight change of plan for today, to help celebrate a brothers birthday, I'm rocking the Monkey Special inspiration for our very own @Eduardo Figueroa on his special day. This needs no introduction if you have it you know. Was inspired by Eduardo's post yesterday. https://www.skool.com/bos/christmas-eve-birthday-fragrance?p=63b259c7 In normally do SB Extreme or Fahrenheit on Christmas Day, but going with this for a change. I'll be doing Christmas with the kids on 26th this year, first Christmas not to be with them, but we will make up for it. This is a solid 8/10 for me https://www.skool.com/bos/sotd-mysterium-by-paris-corner-23102025?p=f1b177f0 Wishing you all a safe and Prosperious day. Nollaig Shona agus Athbhliain faoi Mhaise Daoibh

@Antonio Cent I can’t really tell since I don’t have the OG. But Appletini has given me a respectable longevity (6-8hrs on skin. 8hrs+ on clothing).
