Hey brothers, I wanted to share this video with you guys and get your honest feedback šŖš½ This is actually the first video Iāve ever made in DaVinci Resolve, and before this I had never used Adobe or any editing software at all, at the most Cap Cut⦠so Iām literally starting from zero with this. And honestly, for my first one, I feel pretty satisfied with how it turned out. That being said, I know thereās a lot I can improve, so Iād love your opinion. How does the color grading look to you? Does it feel good or does it look too heavy/saturated? Do you think I should go for something more soft and natural? I used Zedanās powergrade as a base, but I had to tweak a lot (due to the lighting in my video and a couple things of personal taste). At the beginning the highlights and exposure were completely blown out because I filmed outside and there was way too much light. That alone taught me that from now on, whenever I shoot outdoors, I need to use an ND filter to control the light. Iām currently using a DJI Osmo Pocket 3, so itās a pretty basic camera, but it gets the job done for now. In the next few months Iām planning to upgrade to something like a Sony, Lumix, or Fuji. One of the hardest parts was trying to balance the overexposure, the shininess of the skin, and just the overall brightness. I had to isolate the skin, work with different layers, adjust lighting⦠it was a whole process, oh man... that fucking skin lol. But beyond all the technical stuff⦠I tried to communicate something in those 14 seconds. And while I was editing, I realized this message isnāt just for others, itās for me too. Iāve spent a long time wanting to become a creator and inspire people, and over the past few months Iāve finally started taking real action towards that, making sacrifices along the way. At the end of the day, everything comes back to this: "One day⦠or day one?" Iād really appreciate your honest feedback. Anything you see, anything I can improve, Iām open to it. And if you have any tips, Iāll take those too.
