Most of the scents are packed up but one that I kept out was Coach Open Road. Clean and inoffensive. Great rack store find. Oversprayed to maybe get some performance.

Ha! Sometimes overspraying is the only honest performance test. Great rack-store find, Roland.
SOTD: Deep Ocean Amber by Sospiro - Day 325
Hey guys, Joe A. here with today's Scent of the Day : Deep Ocean Amber by Sospiro - Day 325. Parfumo lists it opening with elemi resin and ambrette, moving through styrax and violet, and settling into labdanum, ambergris, and benzoin. I get a darker, richer resinous-salty warmth with smooth, strange depth instead of another blue shower gel situation. First Sniff: Like I went looking for fresh water, but instead found a luxury mid-century shipwreck. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/f7ucStHZurg

A luxury mid-century shipwreck is one heck of a first sniff, Joe. That resinous salty profile sounds far more interesting than another generic blue bottle.
Monday Scent of the Day — Bleu de Chanel Eau de Parfum 🔵
Today called for something a little more deliberate. I have a meeting with my attorney, and while I certainly wanted to wear a fragrance I enjoy, I also wanted something that would be appropriate for the setting — polished, professional and present without being overpowering. So today I reached for Bleu de Chanel Eau de Parfum. Sometimes I think fragrances like Bleu de Chanel can almost be overlooked by those of us who enjoy exploring more unusual or niche scents, simply because it has become so well known. But there is a reason it has become a modern classic. It opens bright and clean with citrus, grapefruit and bergamot, but underneath that freshness there is ginger, spice, cedar, sandalwood and a touch of incense that gives it considerably more depth than a simple “fresh” fragrance. What I particularly like about the Eau de Parfum is the balance. It smells refined without feeling formal. Masculine without being aggressive. Fresh enough for a warm August day, yet the woods and amber give it enough substance to feel completely appropriate in a professional setting. And today that was exactly what I wanted. For me, choosing a fragrance is sometimes less about finding the most interesting bottle in the collection and more about choosing the right fragrance for the day ahead. Today I don’t want my fragrance entering the room before I do. 😎 I simply want something clean, confident and understated in the background. Bleu de Chanel EDP fits that assignment perfectly.

This is exactly where Bleu de Chanel EDP earns its reputation—polished without announcing itself before you walk in. Hope the meeting with your attorney went well, Jeffrey.

Y EDP can handle a hot day. Solid gym-to-work choice, Phil.
SOTD- Monday August 17th: Prada Paradigme Le Parfum
Picked this one up recently, and I like it way more than I thought I would. The EDP is good, but there’s lots of other freshies I prefer over it. This one has a great balance of fresh and sweet. It’s not ground breaking and it’s not unique. It reminds me a bit of Ralph’s Club NY but with more amber and less black currant. Definitely deeper and richer than the EDP. Perfect for fall, winter, and date nights. Good office fragrance as well, just don’t go too heavy on the trigger. Performance is pretty good- I get a solid 7-8 hours on skin and much more on clothing. Projects well for the first 3-4 hours too. Really liking this one.

Brett, that fresh-and-amber balance sounds like the sweet spot. Seven to eight hours is plenty—just keep that trigger finger disciplined, man.
