Happy Friday! This has been my favorite scent of the early autumn, so far. I’m addicted to the way the sweetness and spice blend so smoothly. It’s warm and comforting and inviting. Can’t say enough good things about it.

I love the JPG Le Male DNA, and since Elixir is a little loud for the office in my opinion, I tried the “gentleman’s” version for a few days. I do like this take on it, and I appreciate it being a lot more understated and sophisticated, but it doesn’t grab me enough. I don’t find myself being drawn to or looking forward to smelling it the way I’d like to be. Overall a very good, smooth scent that feels grown up and familiar, but I think I’d rather spend my money elsewhere at the moment.

The old one. I’m going to grab a couple bottles of this since I like it more than the reformulation. This stuff is pure class! I feel like a gentleman who has his life together and tbh I’d pay anything for that feeling most days 😂

Since the weather has officially cooled off (happy Autumn, everyone!) I’m testing some fall and winter fragrances. I wasn’t sure whether I wanted a sweet or spicy scent, but I started with one that intrigued me the most. Victory Elixir is honestly, just ok. I found it a little underwhelming since it’s not very sweet (to me), and the Cardamom note is not as pleasing as in other fragrances I’ll be posting here soon. Gets a solid 6/10 from me, glad I tried it.
