I think I've got it, let me know Larry! Try this one out everyone! It's goofy in a a good way! My attempt and then the original:

Chord Progression of the Week 05-29-26
Ok, I tried to go easy on you this week, and I suppose you could just take the easy way out on this one. It is still a really good chord progression, but if you try just a little bit harder, its a great chord progression. I'm talking about using a little bit of something called the CAGED system and what it can do to really spice up a chord progression. If you haven't heard of the CAGED system, or could never really wrap your head around it, we've got a full course in the classroom section for you to check out! Your Chord Progression of the Week is, in the key of Bm: Bm-G-D x 4 then A-G-D x 2 I know what you're saying, "wow Ben, no modes, no modal interchange!?" I know, I know...see, I CAN be merciful, haha! See you next week Mike! -Ben P.S. If you want to learn more about the CAGED system, consider joining our premium tier, where you can find an entire course dedicated to it. You'll also be able to find our other courses and be able to participate in our Riffs of the Week, as well as having access to all new courses and more, as they drop. Oh and its less than pack of picks per month, and you won't lose it in the couch, your pants you wore yesterday, or whatever alternate dimension picks run off to. https://www.skool.com/intermediate-guitar/about

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKE!
Thank you for being here @Mike Abalos! I couldn't do this without you! Give him some love everyone!

Here's me running through Ben's NEW Ultimate Practice Scale Shape (Find it for free here) https://www.skool.com/intermediate-guitar/classroom/4f74be2f?md=3c6542bbb6584350ac9fe03e03f3599f and putting it to work a few different ways. It took some real effort and because it's not exactly musical, my ears didn't love what was coming out. But your fingers know when they're working hard, and mine are worked after this one. So - Thank you @Benjamin Wood for such a great warm-up/mental training. Go ahead and give it a shot on your own guitar, and if you record yourself practicing, drop it in the comments below.

Try Someone Else's
When we finally decide to play something else on the guitar, other than that one riff or song we are always doing, that's where progress is. Progress is on the edge of the things we like to do, in life and on the guitar... But for the sake of learning guitar, we'll just keep this post Skool and guitar related, and stay away from the life stuff lol. Adding a note to the end of the lick you do, inspires a new chain of melody. Bumping another rhythm with the same notes we do all the time or changing who we are listening to. Whatever the case, we can see that the "shift" here is in allowing ourselves to do something different. Give yourself permission to move the needle by changing something you play today. You don't "HAVE TO" play only different things today. But taking the leap to try is what will take you there. Take a moment today to find a thread here you haven't seen yet or given a try. Hop into the Classroom section (up top of the main page) and go through something you haven't gotten the chance to see yet. Do a self recording like our friends @John Witte and @Larry Cannon (great job by the way boys) Get something posted up under there after you try it, you might just surprise yourself with how well you do. We'll catch ya there! -Mike
